tink...how about Camp Minnie-Mickey depicting Maine? Or better yet, the Canadian wilderness? :)

Come on you guys! ok, my home state is NY...it's in NY somewheres....

tink, are you thinking of the Adirondack Mountains?

Good AM all!!:sunny:

Magickndm sorry for the delay!!! You are correct, a BAT is the weather vane on the Haunted Mansion!!!

A dusty AAQ for you!!:p

Good Morning PG Players :sunny:

Tink.... I'll second James the Adirondack Mountains sound right :)

:smooth:

Granny,
I did see the two guesses for the politician Johnson. That is why I said get the black monorail prepared I may be getting a citation. It was important to me to make the point that Mr Johnsons' namesake was the space center and not a president. Although we all know the space center was named for the politician.

I was walking a fine line of being (un)politically correct.

Gotta work today and it looks like the outstanding questions have been answered so I'll just add this little bit.

The props now in Mission Space in the Planetary Plaza are the Horizons logo in the center of the gravity wheel training unit of the space station living quarters.

There is also an excerpt from from the preshow of Mission to Mars/Flight to the Moon where you could see footage of Mr Johnson, operations Specialist, was talking about the rocket when he is interrupted with a radar alert. There was a "problem" on runway 12, what could it be? It was the landing of an albatross. Remeber that snippet, gang???

does anyone know why Mission Space was "placed" in the year 2036?:smooth:

I didn't know my wife and I shared such an illustrious anniversary. And this year, we'll be celebrating our 25th.

Sandy by all means ... you and the DW definitely need to host the annual CC gala;) Versace fo her and Armani for you ... just put it on Granny's Gold Amex:p

To keep us honest ...

Was it placed in 2036 so the don't have to update the ride until that year:earseek:

Good (late) morning all. :)
I'll guess it has something do do with Walt's anniv. of his death since it was in '66 pintrader.

Hi Jen, thought of you Sunday while eating a chocolate croissant at the BW. :) Tho I was crushed they have made them half the size they used to be. Now I can actually eat the whole thing and not feel like a pig. :p

Yes, Adirondack Mountains. Point for you! Now I have no idea why they choose that year for Mission:Space...

The year 2036 is 75 years after Russian's cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin's first space flight.

By the way, my AOL screename is nasanut. And I actually work for NASA!

Very cool James. Since I'm thinking James knows his stuff, I'm gonna go with his answer.

And yes, this was just another blatant attempt to see my countdown, which is off by an hour for some reason. I have an hour less than it says. And I'm out of work in less than 5 hours. WDW (and the rain) here I come!

Oh, and I'll be sure to have a dole whip for each and every member of the CC :)

I'll 3rd JamesD. :)

Take your poncho B'rer Karen, we're expecting 8 to 10 inches of rain! :o

Pintrader,

Thanks for clearing the Mr Johnson question up - I have been in suspense ever since page 90! ;) My reasoning was that he was the president during much of the Apollo development, so I will console myself with the fact that I was in the right ballpark :D Now does anybody know why Mr Kennedy and Mr Canaveral did not make the cut?! :p

I don't think that there are any open questions, so to keep things rolling...

What is the slogan on the front of Pete's garage in Toontown?
Mike

Well I'm outta here folks. Y'all behave yourselves and leave me a trail of breadcrumbs if you move.

And to keep it on topic, I'll guess the slogan is "Because rust is like Cancer to your car."

Have a *MAGICAL* trip BK:teeth: Try to stay dry!

Looks like we need a question so someone turn in ones of those AAQs please;)

Hey MK ... thanks for the croisssant update:teeth: Glad to see you back here in the CC!

Let's see if I can get rid of this shady AAQ card!

Who will be the "narrator" of the new "Wishes" nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom, starting next month?

Edit to add...I just heard that one person was killed on BTMRR in Disneyland due to a train derailment there! Oh my! :( :( :(

I hope this doesn't sound crass, but we can't spend much time commenting here on this tragedy. There are several threads on this board (Parks & Attractions) and every time somebody has turned a thread to this topic, it seems to be getting moved. The moderators have been very kind in allowing this thread to exist on the Parks & Attractions board for two years now because we manage to keep the Parks Game on topic through thick and thin. Thanks everyone.
