Parks Game! Part 5...Keep Playing! Resistance is Futile!

Let's see if I can get the full question... Time to start guessing like on the Price is Right...
Did they change the name in 2000?

Granny.... The change was made in 1998 :p

~ Princess MBabe ;)

Actually, using the Price is Right terminology, you're all a bit high!

I'm talking about your guesses, not your physical state! :p

Well, I have an AAQ card here and sticky one too, soooo... let's get rid of one. This should be a softball.
What does MAPO stand for and what do/did they do?

Jay...... MAPO is a system to keep the monorails from running into each other.... boy that would be a mess ..... not sure what it stands for :p

:smooth:

hello Jay my fellow Star Ward enthusiast
MAPO is a subsidiary of WED (Walter Elias Disney) Transportation. The name is short for Mary Poppins.

Jay....yes, it was 1997 when they changed the name of the Banquet in Cindy's castle. Yet another feasting AAQ to you.

And MBabe....you should get something for adding the date unsolicited. Let's see here.....(Granny fumbles in his bag).....ah yes....here are some leftover chocolate-raisin bagels that nobody seemed to want to eat this morning! :p

MAPO??? Uh, that would be the Magical Annual Pass Organization...they sell MAP's that never expire, and never go up in price!

Hey, this is fantasy, right? :smooth:

hey MBABE GMTA guess I typed just enough to put me after you. So I second MBABE

This system won't send my posts the first two times I hit submit, The third time is always the charm. What's with that all of a sudden?

A supercalifragilisticexpialidocious AAQ card to fellow Star Wars fan, Kathryn! :) It indeed stands for MAry POppins. They are/were a subsidiary of WED. I'm looking for a very general term that describes what they did. Actually, a one word term will capture it. :) The only reason I use a present and past tense is b/c I'm pretty sure, altho not positive, that they no longer use that name. But what they do still carries on to tihs day. And they were instrumental in the theme parks. :)

LOL about the map and monorail guesses! :p Those are good! :) Hmmm.... automatically updating maps when they update the parks..... You should suggest this. It could save them millions in reprints!! :teeth:

Thanks but no thanks Granny

Gave up chocolate for lent... bagels were not meant to have raisins in them either...uh hem....I mean why ruin a perfectly good bagel?.... now Thomas's Everything Bagels...yum :p

Jay.... Blocklight?...or moving blocklight system?

:smooth:

Jay -- is "transmitter" the one word you are looking for?

MBabe, I'll guess 71 languages for goodbye at ITASW. .:p
No, No, i'll guess 13 :D

Babe, I was thinkg "holding" as well, but that does not actually describe or explain what it does...does it. I guess it does ... kinda but isn't it the pilot who actually does the holding or am I confused as usual.

Pass me over a whip and put a little something in it. I need a clearer mind. :)

MCM hit it closest, so a robin shaped AAQ card to her. :) MAPO, in a nutshell, did "imagineering" stuff. They created the robin that was used during the "Spoonful of Sugar" sequence, then went on to do audioanimatronic work in the theme parks. Yep, they did work at MK & Epcot. :)

Next question please. :)
