Hi MBabe....let us pull you up a rope hammock out here on the Poly beach. Ice water? Yeah, I think we can handle that, big spenders that we are. We'll toast to Jen and her big moving day!
I'm afraid the front half of that plane is not in the Indy Jones spectacular. Great guess though!
More importantly, that tail is not only from the Plane in the GMR Casablanca scene - but that whole plane is the same plane from the actual SCENE in Casablanca. Now that's spiffy trivia - considering they didn't set out to get the actual plane.
And a "Here's Looking at You, Kid" AAQ card to Higgs, the first one to identify where the front half of the plane is found.
For some reason, that just struck me as a particularly cool piece of trivia.
Kim....according to the place I read about this plane, the plane was not the same as the one in Casablanca. They said that was an urban myth, that Disney themselves help to spread through their CM's.
They make a pretty compelling case.....but I think it's cool just to think that they used both halves of the plane in different attractions. Don't ask me why....just strikes me as sort of neat.
Here's the web site that says that not only is it not the same plane as was used in Casablanca, but that they never even used a real plane in Casablanca! Enjoy the reading!
Granny: Thanks for the great link to the Casablanca trivia. Someone else posted the snopes.com link before. I got lost in the trivia for about an hour the other day. Good stuff.
Oh, and an AAQ to MBabe.....I didn't notice that she also posted the correct answer at basically the same time as Higgs. I think simultaneous posting of a correct answer still allows for duplicate AAQ's.
Thanks for the coffee, MBabe. No, really, I would have given you the AAQ card even if you didn't bribe.....er...supply me with my morning caffeine!
Pirate...I don't think there are any open questions.
So if you've got one, please throw it out there. The AAQ's are just our little cyber-rewards....if there is no active question, anyone can toss one out there.
Mickey - no idea - but based on the fence and darkness in the background of your pic, I am gonna take a wild guess and say the que area of Rock N Roller Coaster?
Thanks PM. Test Track is my favorite ride at Epcot. I guess that's why that just jumped right out at me.
Currently at the Disney Studios you can play a version of the tv game show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" in one of the stages on Mickey Avenue. Name another tv game show that used to be played in one of those same sets of stages in the early years of the park.
Higgs drops his invisibility cloak for just a second...
I do believe that the game show in question was "Let's Make A Deal..." In a flah of light and smoke...Higgs dissapears into the mist of the CC
