Parks Game - Part 13 - Still PLAYING!

While it's true the everything is oriented around the castle - it really isn't an "Attraction" in the sense that this question was posed... (think ride, not landmark)

The Carousel in FantasyLand? I know they bought if fully assembled and moved it so maybe it was the quickest to put back together???

I was thinking in terms of attractions that came from the World's Fair. My other guess would have been the Hall of Presidents, but since you said ride, how about Dumbo's Elephants?

Let's go out on a limb...Tiki Birds! First animatronic at WDW?

Nope x3 - keep trying :)

Alright, two more guesses - Haunted Mansion or Space Mountain? As for the why, not sure.

Space Mtn didn't open until 1975... but you're right about the Haunted Mansion - a ghostly AAQ to you gometros! :hmghost:

The reason that the HM was the first to be installed and completed is that the Imagineers decided back in '68/69 while they were working on the brand new attraction for Disneyland (which Walt first talked about publically in 62 or 63 when the house facade was built but didn't officially open until August 1969 since the World's Fair got in the way - and then his death slowed the Imagineers down as they couldn't decide which way to go - lighthearted or scary) - anyway, they decided that the HM would be included in the opening day roster of attractions when the new MK opened at WDW in the then near future. As they were building the sets for Disneyland - they found it easiest to build duplicates at the exact same time - then simply store them until they were needed on-site in FL. As a result of their planning, the HM was the easiest installation, and the first to be completed and ready to operate!

Gometros...you might be on to something with the Haunted Mansion! Didn't they build HMs at Disneyland and WDW at the same time?

Oh well, I looks like I was a minute late with the (short form) explanation. Stopher 1, good question!

Okay, to keep the ball rolling along,

what attraction has replaced WWTBAM?

And I got to ride it last Saturday :cool1:

A Pie in the face AAQ to you, ryley.

Name the two tracks on Space Mountain

PS geo how was it
