Just a quick one, are you allowed to take your top of in the parks?? I know when i was in port aventura they didnt like people with there tops off, is disney the same.

Hi Disney is exactly the same, no tops off or the Disney Police will come :thumbsup2

Most definitely not allowed everyone needs a top on, even if it is only a vest top. For women a bikini top only is also frowned upon.

Claire ;)

Quite right too , I see enough of that in Blackpool.

You are not allowed to take your tops off in WDW, if you need to cool down go to the water parks! ;)

They are also strict on offensive logos and pictures on shirts, including the FCUK shirts. You may be asked to wear them in-side out or to change.

Yeah m8 with you on that one. Fortunately i work just outside St Annes, if that was the same there would be a few choice sights taking into account the average age of the town.

Glad Disney and the parks do this.

What is it with them exactly shunning people who wear FCUK tops etc don't they get it? It's only the shortened form of French Connection UK what's their problem?? If they see more to it than that they are either really sad or idiots.!! :confused3 :confused3
I can understand not allowing offensive clothing (or lack of clothing) with awful language and the like but really don't get why the fuss over this brand of clothing. :confused3 :confused3

in all fairness though there is medical research that shows the human brain only needs the first and last letters of a word to be in the right place. The middle can be jumbled up but the word still easily understood as the most common spelling....if someone just glances over it can be easy to be offended by and FCUK top...even more so for those with conditions like dyslexia where letters and numbers dont always register in the right order

In that case I wonder if the clothing company is aware of this?? Are they perhaps using it as a marketing ploy?

im not sure if FC know this :confused3 one would think with a point of offence within one letter they would know this...personally it doesn't bother me but I understand that parents don't want their children being brought up to know what are considered to be foul words

Most definitely - a deliberate advertising ploy.

Just to add, we were in Blizzard Beach, queing for the Family Raft ride, an English Family was in front and their daughter, who I'm guessing was about 6 or 7, only had Bikini Bottoms on. When they arrived at the loading area, the girl was asked to cover up, and was not allowed to ride.

To my knowledge, this is not a brand we have here in the US. So we are not idiots, we are just not familiar with the acronym. Since Disney is the epitome of family entertainment, they do not want any misunderstanding between the brand and the profanity.

Glad they do too. French Connection did this deliberately as a marketing ploy as Johnnny said.

Yep, and they keep on milking it! To me the original 'shock' factor has long since past and find the continued use of the acronym just tacky and not in very good taste, especially when used in a slogan :(

I hate the use of it and quite agree with Disney that it isn't suitable for a family park.

When the brand was just labelled French Connection we bought some items of clothing but as soon as the started with the FCUK labelling we never bought anything from them again!

I am sure they do realise what they are doing just as I feel sure that it is just a bad taste marketing ploy.
