I am still deciding whether I want to stay outside or inside the parks. I am inclined to stay inside so I do not have to deal with traffic, parking etc.

Can anyone tell me the parking rates and whether you can go leave and return for the same daily rate or do they charge for each time you enter a park??

Also - is the walk from the parking lot far to the various entrances??

Thanks for all you help.

If you stay onsite the parking is free. Offsite the charge is $9 per day, you can park in the other lots by showing your receipts.

There are trams from the parking lot to the main entrance at 3 of the parks so you don't have to do a lot of walking. At MK you take a tram to the TTC and then a monorail or a boat to the entrance. You could also take a bus if you are an onsite guest and that will get you to the front entrance of MK.

We have not stayed off-site in a long time. I do remember that the parking lots are HUGE. As the previous poster said, trams take you to the park entrance. For the MK the trams take you to the monorail and boat. You can choose either way to get to the MK. Disney buses are the only vehicles allowed near the MK entrance. If you do have to drive make sure you note where you parked or you could have a real problem later locating your vehicle at the end of the day.

If you remember the time you parked they can tell you where you parked the car.

Personally, at Epcot and MGM, I've usually found that walking will generally beat the tram, as far as how long it takes to get to the main entrance ... AK, depending on where I'm parked, the tram may be faster, and I'll almost always tram it at the TTC.
