Parking?

We have 8:30 a.m. reservations tomorrow at 1900 Park Faire. We are not staying on site, so where can we park? Can I drive right up to the Grand Floridian and park there? And if so, can I leave my car there all day while we visit the Magic Kingdom?

Other question: If we are late and miss our reservation (which has happened to my very large family in the past, although not at DisneyWorld) what then happens to the car if I've parked it at the Grand Floridian?

We also have breakfast reservations later in the week at Ohana -- do the parking rules also apply there?

Thanks in advance! Tomorrow is our first day at the parks and I am psyched! :yay:

I asked a similar question not long ago and the responses I received indicated that you could park at the Grand Floridian and get a three hour parking pass. However, this works only if not going to a park that day. It sounds like you are going to the MK after, so in that case you will need to park in the TTC lot (which involves paying to park) and take the monorail to the GF (or Poly), then after dining, take the monorail to the MK.

Have fun! We will be there in a month!

You could always valet - the parking at GF is a bit of a walk and with valet, you can leave it all day.

Somedays they give a 3 hour pass, somedays they don't. Really depends on how crowded things are. I have found it easier to park at Poly than at GF.

Enjoy your trip!!

You can't leave your car at a resort in the self-parking to go the parks.

You can either do as suggested above, park at the TTC and take the monorail to both GF and MK (and the Poly on that day if this same situation holds true), or you can park for your meal and move the car to the TTC, OR you can most likely valet park ($10 + tips) at the GF and the Poly for as long as you want - it's at the discretion of the valets, so tell them when you plan on coming back, but I don't think it's ever an issue when you valet.
