Parking & Upgrading to AP at park

I did a search and the only thing I found was from 2010 so I asking to make sure

I won't be upgrading to a DVC AP till after I enter the park so I can lock in the then current price vs what I paid for a ticket. We are staying offsite that first day so I won't be able to park for free. Can I get parking refunded since I will technically be an AP holder that day??? And how long will I have to do that? I know I'll need my parking paid ticket in my windshield

I'm just frustrated right now. I missed member services by 9 mins or I would have bought the AP today!!

If you get a receipt, you can ask when buying your AP. Most likely they will give you a refund for parking that day, although not guaranteed.
