Parking Trams now being equipped with passenger doors

Not really because the doors don't lock...

I'd think it wouldn't be difficult to install some green light/red lights on the side of each tram car to show people waiting to board if it's ready to leave and not to try to board.

I'd think it wouldn't be difficult to install some green light/red lights on the side of each tram car to show people waiting to board if it's ready to leave and not to try to board.

The problem is people still wouldn't obey them or they would just think "oooh I wonder what those lights are for"

WDW has a weird effect on a lot of people, It turns many normal people into people who are just plain lost and borderline Patrick Star level of intelligence.

Surprisingly (or not), the addition of doors (starting at DL first) was due to a guest (amongst four - one was a child) nodding off and falling out of a running tram at DL. The other two adults also fell out trying to grab the first person. All three allegedly sustained injuries and settled with Disney. The child, on the other hand managed to stay on board the tram.

Which begs the question: How tired must that guest have been to doze off during a tram ride (my tram rides have never ever been more than a few minutes) and how much of a sound sleeper they had to have been to not feel the movement/motion of the tram?

I rode one of these there very first times they were used at DAK sure trams are safe enough but I like them with doors just for the added safety.
