Parking question?

If you are staying onsite and pay the daily parking fee- you get to use parking at parks for “free”. My question is how do they verify that you are onsite? If I do online check in, will it just be on my magic band? Or should I drive over to the hotel before heading to the parks? Is it like a paper printout? I thought they changed that.

Just trying to plan our day one.

The attendant will scan your Magic Band and it will show you are an On Site guest whether you do Online Checkin or not.
