Parking Question - Arriving before check in

Here is our situation - my wife and I are now 8 days out from our trip. We will be arriving next Saturday afternoon and spending the first night at a Good Neighbor Hotel near Disney Springs. Sunday we are checking in to the All Star Movies Resort but plan on visiting AK Sunday morning which will be several hours prior to our 3 p.m. check in time. The initial thought was to use the shuttle service from the Good Neighbor Hotel to the park but apparently the shuttle only goes to Epcot which would require taking another bus from there to AK... way more cumbersome than we would like to make it.

My question is this: would the resort allow us to park our car at the resort that morning? We are traveling on a budget and would like to avoid the $20 fee for parking at AK if possible. This may be a question that I need to call and ask but I thought it would be worth a try to post here. Thanks!

You can check in as early as 6AM. So I would get to Movies early, check in and take the bus to AK. Your room most likely won't be ready but Luggage Services will hold your stuff so you don't have to leave it in your car. There is also a chance your room will be ready.

Yes, you can check in very early but your room may not be ready. We have often taken the auto train and gotten to the resort around 10:30 am or so and never had a check-in problem. Our car could be parked instantly! The gatekeeper had us on their list and knew we were allowed in...

Good advice. Definitively do not skip the step I highlighted. The weather here in Florida turns car trunks into ovens that will melt toiletries like deodorant and make-up.

Also, if you check in you could drive your car to AKL and park for free as an on property guest.

Have arrived while driving at around 6am to 10 am on a number of occasions...we have parked at the resort, checked in, showered at the pool clubhouse, changed and took off to the parks after dropping off our luggage....Or we have changed into our swim stuff and hung out at the pool until the room is ready
