I have a disabled parking pass for Pennsylvania. Can I jus tpack this along and use it? It's registered to me and I have all the information or do I need to apply for a certain Florida parking pass or how does it work? TIA

Yes, bring your placard and you can use it on any car you use in Florida

Heck, they even recognize and respect foreign HC placards, you should be fine; I believe all the States respect placards issued by the other States. ::yes::

all states honor the placards of the other states. also if you are staying at a Disney hotel that has valet parking they will waive the fee if you show your placard.

This is true of all STATES!. However, the District of Columbia, which is the seat of the Federal Government, will not recognize any HP placards but it's own. I know; I worked in DC for many years and had a Virginia tag. Luckily, I had a reserved parking place in the building where I worked.

Write to your local Congresscritter and complain!!!

We just got back and used our Minnesota parking placard. Saw many from different states.
One thing to be aware of though is that WDW handicapped (they call it "Medical Parking") is not always your best option unless you have a wheelchair or ecv with you.
The regular parking lots have trams that take you from end of the row where you parked to the park turnstiles. The handicapped lots do NOT have any tram service.
They do have some loaner wheelchairs at the handicapped parking lots that you can use to get to the wheelchair rental from the parking lot and back. But there may not always be wheelchairs there and the spot where you get the wheelchair may be a ways from where you park. You will pretty much always do less walking if you park in the regular lot and use the tram.
If you are staying on site, Disney transportation is your best option to get to MK. If you drive, you will need to get to the Ticket and Transportation Center from your parking spot. From there, you will take a monorail (long, steep ramp) or boat to MK. Buses for the resorts drop you off at the park turnstiles. The MK resort monorails and boats will drop you off very close to the bus drop off point.

With regard to foreign HC placards, Florida does not honour these. You have to go and 'buy' a temporary US placard on arrival with proof of entitlement. Having said that most theme parks will allow use of a UK badge it is just in public places that there is a problem.

Sue

THIS HAS NOW CHANGED. Since posting I have found out that the sheriffs department have now stated that they will accept UK blue badges without the need to get a temporary Florida one.

You can also get answer by email - go to Florida DMV site. They usually reply ~2 days later.
