Parking of ECV?

Here is our situation: My two sisters and I are taking our mother, who will be 80 next year for a week in October. My mother just went alone with me on a December trip and did alright...at her pace. We took it real s..l..o..w!
However, my older sister will be joining us for this trip and has mobility problems. She doesn't use a WC or ECV in normal everyday use, but does have a hard time, tires easily, and tends to fall quite often. She has a muscular disease and her muscles are really weak.

She knows it will be impossible for her to keep up--even at a slow pace-- for these long distances, long days, and a long week. So she is willing to use a WC (be pushed by me) or possibly rent an ECV. (We are staying at the Boardwalk Villas and can board boats to Epcot or MGM as needed.)

It seems like most people say the best deal is to rent an ECV offsite. This way we have it for Downtown Disney, etc.

My question is about parking the ECV for a lot of the rides, attractions. As long as there are NO steps to climb, she could park it and walk into the ride or stand in line with us. Do people park the ECV's where strollers are parked? Or is it best to try to ride them onto most of the attractions where possible? (I am used to parking strollers for grandkids.), but was wondering if there is a special section for ECV parking if one does not take it into the attraction.

Any advice? thanks.

Yes, they go in the stroller parking.
I used a wheelchair last time, and I would park it and stand in line. Your sister will want to see what works best for her, taking it into the lines or parking it! I would get too stiff if I stayed in the chair, so parking it worked best for me, because then I could stretch those cramping muscles!

Thanks...I have read too about the Guest Assistance Card that can be shown if the moving ramps need to be made slower for boarding, etc.

This should work well with our situation...mainly use the scooter for distance riding until we get to the attraction, then we can park it and go inside.
Thanks for advice.

When you get to an attraction, she should also ask the CM at the entrance how far she would need to walk to get from the ride entrance to the actual attraction. For some, it's a short distance. For others (like It's Tough to Be a Bug or the Safari), it's a long walk.
