Hi there,

I'll be staying at the CSR at end of May for ten nights and was planning dining at the Polynesian, AKL and Wilderness lodge whilst there.
My question is am I ok to to drive to the other resort and leave my car there
a) whilst eating and chillin at th other resort?
b) Go into a park leaving my car there, for example go to Ohana at the Poly for dinner and monorail into MK for spectromagic?

Is this possible and if so are there any time limits?

Finally is it considered bad form to let your kids do the free activities at other resorts (eg fireplace reading at AKL) if you u are staing elsewhere such as CSR?

Cheers

Duncan

if you are dining (or as some would say, would just like to look around) at a resort, they will grant you 3 hour parking privileges. there is no such limit if you use valet parking service (which costs the same as parking at a park).

so use that as you will.

as for your question about letting your child engage in activities at other resorts, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. with some minor exceptions, i don't believe i've ever heard that anything is restricted based on where you are staying.

I hear if you go over the time limit they will tow the car.

You are allowed to park at another resort while doing business there (dining, shopping, just looking) but not for the purpose of going to a nearby park.

And don't forget that valet is $10.00-- PLUS TIP.
When we dine at the Poly and then go to MK, we just park at the Transportation and Ticket center and take the short walkway to the Poly. Then the monorail. Very easy.

As everyone has already said, parking at a resort is fine for the time you are there eating/shopping. But to leave the resort and then head to a park, leaving your car at that resort is considered 'bad form'. You are taking a spot that in all reality is for a resort guest. This is especially true at the Polynesian. So, unless you are going to valet park, leave your car at the TTC parking lot and then either take the monorail to the Polynesian or the pathway. Then, head off to a park for the remainder of your day.
As for your kids participating in the other resorts' fun stuff, that's fine. They are actually encouraged to join in the fun.
