We will be sailing on the Allure out of Ft Lauderdale this July. I assume the port has ample parking, but what is the cost? Also, are there any tips on parking such as get there early or better parking lots or etc?

I'm interested in this too, we're thinking about flying but only if I can get a good price, otherwise we'll drive.

We did a cruise in March from Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades). Yes, there is ample parking! We were much later in arriving than we wanted to be (around 1:30pm) and there still was plenty of parking. They give you a little tag to hang on your car, and when we left we paid...can't find the receipt but I believe it was $120.00 for the week. Super convenient though.

As for better parking lots, they ask us what ship we were on and directed us to a specific lot (there are many lot numbers) based on what ship we were sailing (we were going on the Westerdam). They have certain areas set aside for passengers of certain ships, basically right alongside the ship.

The only stressful part was getting past the Fort Lauderdale "strip" itself. Very crazy busy and a little frustrating lol.

We parked offsite at Park'N'Fly/Cruise.

It was cheaper than parking at the port, and the shuttle takes you from your car to the door of the cruise terminal.

After the cruise, we called the number they gave us, and within 10 minutes, we had a shuttle to return us directly to our car.

For one week, Sat to Sat, the rate is 87.80. There are very often coupons available for a free night.

I'll second a great experience with Park N Fly last month.

They have covered parking too! It was a fantastic setup and my family were the only ones on the shuttle both to and from port. They have an available AAA discount too.

Carriemel, you thought you got to the port kinda late, I think we left our bags with the porters around 3p. We were way behind schedule (first time cruising with our baby). Lets just say we walked into a nearly empty check in area, which was quite erie since we have been some of the first on board in the past. Oh well we got on anyhow (just missed the buffet lunch in Windjammer :( ).
