Parking In Chicago...?

:confused3 I'm not lying about the parking. It's an "Earlybird Special"... if you are IN by 6am but before 8am, and don't leave before 10pm or something like that. $15 a day.:thumbsup2

Nope. Sorry -- definitely look into the pricing again. I work near Michigan and Ontario, and all of the garages in that area do have Earlybird Specials, with rates in between 5am-7am (the one at Grand and St. Clair is $12) and then another 7am-9am, out by 7pm. And ONLY Monday through Friday.

I'm frankly amazed at this thread. The OP was asking about advice as to whether to stay at her hotel or go for the $15 garage. She wasn't asking for verification of the $15 a day rate she saw.

I don't think anyone was doubting her, they were just trying to make sure she had the correct information so she could make the right decision. :)

Yes, but I thought the benefit of posting on a board was to get input from different points of view.

I parked in a downtown Chicago garage on a Saturday, arriving at 7:00 a.m., thinking that it was $14.00 for the whole day. When I was charged $32 for the day, I was pretty peeved at myself for not reading the fine print (i.e. Monday through Friday only). PPs and I are encouraging her to double check her facts, so that she can avoid a charge she wasn't expecting.

I would say people are trying to help OP. Parking in Chicago loop area is never going to be 15 bucks. SO we are trying to make sure they get the correct info.

24 is standard for most lots, and they are safe.

Yeah and everyone said, "the other garages are fine, just check that rate first because it doesn't sound right." It might not be worth it to her to self-park if she's saving only a few bucks.
