We will be heading down to Disney in a few days. My 70 year old mother is coming with us She usually comes to the park with us (we drive) and then takes the bus back to the resort after a few hours She has been having a lot of pain in her hips and just found out this week she needs a double hip replacement. The doctor gave her two prescriptions and told her they should help her get through the trip and when we get back they could figure out a timetable. We know we an get her a wheelchair in the parks if she needs it or she could head back to the pool to rest if she needs. Her big concern is walking from the car when we arrive. The doctor's secretary told her she does not qualify for a temporary handicap parking permit. Would Disney be able to give her anything to help with parking? We would ideally like to be able to park close and go in together, but if not I guess her best bet may be taking the bus and meeting up with us.
