On Sunday July 11th we are thinking about using our Magic Morning that comes with our three day pass (part of the City Pass). We are staying in Huntington Beach, so we will be driving in and parking at DisneyLand. How early does the parking open? Will we make it to the gate by 6:50? Should we get our Disneyland tickets from our city pass the night before? Will Disney do that? Can we park at Downtown Disney to do that?

We are flying in from the East coast the day before so we will be on East coast time, so we are thinking the first day is the best for the Magic Morning (7:00 am will be 10:00 am to us).

What time should we leave Huntington Beach to get to Disneyland? Google Maps says it is a 30-40 minute drive? It says we could take CA-55 to I-5, Or Beach Blvd to CA-22, or Beach Blvd to Katella, or Beach Blvd to Bolsa Ave. Not sure which. I am thinking if we leave the hotel at 6:00 am we should be ok to get in the park at 7:00 am - Or am I missing some time there? Do we need to leave earlier?

I know WDW so well, but I am so new at Disneyland. Need Help! Sorry for all the questions.

TIA

If you'll have more than 1 adult ~ I'd have the driver drop an adult and others (kids) off at the 15 min. parking on Harbor ~ a few days ago someone posted a great map of the DLR area but I can't find it :confused3

Then the driver can park the car and join the others in line.

I would take 55 to I5 but be careful as you approach the resort. There will be information signs as to where to park. Because you are going for MM it will probably say the Ball road exit to go to the Mickey and Friends Garage.

In all driving plus walking, plus shuttle/tram time I would say 45-55 minutes.

If you park in M&F garage you can walk and skip the tram takes about 10 minutes. Not bad to do if you are early and don't want to save your legs for the day.

I haven't parked at DL in a while but last time I think the lot opened about 30-45 minutes before the park did.

Remember you'll have to swap the vouchers in the citypass folder for tickets. Hopefully someone will come along to tell you if that's done at a ticket booth or right at the turnstile!

Doing MM on your first day (since you're on eastern time zone) is VERY smart. :thumbsup2

- IMO, you'll want to drop off your party (at the Harbor drop off) at 6:20-6:25am & have them wait at the Security tent.
- Then you go to the parking garage/lot & park (might have to wait a few minutes....hopefully someone can confirm when the garage/lot opens on a 7am MM day.
- Once thru Security (at 6:30am), have all but one go to the turnstile (hopefully first or second in line)
- & have the one person go to the Ticket Booth (unless you picked them up the night before).
- Have the "ticket picker upper" & the "car parker" meet up with the rest of the folks who got to the front of the turnstiles at 6:30am.
- At 7am be one of the first thru the tunnels & ride PP first (always first). :thumbsup2

Here's some info from DLR 29's excellent MM super thread:

What time should I arrive for MM?

Half an hour before MM time (1 1/2 hours before official park opening) is generally a good time to arrive. However if you want to be one of the first ones on Nemo, plan on arriving 45+ before MM time (so 1 hour and 45 min before official park opening). But for Fantasyland or Tomorrowland touring, if you arrive a little later, you should still be fine.

What time does the parking lot open on MM days?

The lot opens 30 minutes before MM begins, so unless you are one of the first couple cars in line, if you plan on parking in the lots, don't plan on getting to the gates by or before MM opening.

What time do the ticket booths open on MM days?

The time that the ticket booths open on any given day is subject to change, but an email from the park states that they open 30 minutes before Magic Morning begins on MM days.

If I pick up my tickets on a MM day, can I use my MM right then and there?

Yes, provided that you get to the ticket booths early enough.

Have a great time at Walt's Park. :hippie:
