So, I went to DLR in December and stayed at PPH in an upper level resort view room. We had an AMAZING time!! I was thrilled to be there during the holidays for the first time in 15 years. It was also the first time I took a week long vacation in 5 years. The room was SPECTACULAR, the hotel was better than I remembered. My only complaint, why on earth do I have to pay $18 a day to park when I'm a hotel guest? Paying the price for a Disneyland hotel is becoming less and less attractive. Sure the view was great and it was fun taking the monorail into the park, but it just irked me to the bone that I had to pay $18 a day to park, but still had to battle in the designated PPH parking garage for people there for an event. I spent $2400 for a 5 day vacation, you'd think they would throw in free parking for paid hotel guests on Disney property.

I also purchased PhotoPass+. It was so relaxing to not have to worry about taking pictures of the two of us. EVERY Photopass Photographer took multiple pictures and over the course of 5 days, we ended up with over 100 pictures of the two of us! They really took time to pose us, and direct us, and make sure the background was clear of other people, it was so much fun!!

Hopefully, I won't have to wait another 5 years for a week long vacation!

I am glad you got to use the photopass plus - many people are upset it is no longer being offered. It certainly was a great value. The parking thing can be annoying but I have found the more expensive the hotel the more likely you are to get charged for parking - sometimes certain room categories will include the parking which I think makes sense - that way they can still charge those using the parking who are not staying at the hotel. It seems though DLR is not losing business because of stuff like this so they likely won't change. Glad you had a great time regardless.

One of my biggest problems with most of the hotels in the area is having to pay to park!! That drives me crazy!! As much as we have to pay for rooms it is unnecessary

I thought they only discontinued the pre-order option, did something change? Would be a real shame if they got ride of PP+ altogether.

I COMPLETELY AGREE!! While I understand the locals trying to take advantage of all the free parking they can, and that's why they charge, but shoot, for ON PROPERTY guests, you'd think they would throw a little bone. Keep the insulated bag, and give me free parking if I'm a Disney CC holder.

They did, but I purchased mine way back in like September for my December trip. Which ended up being a good thing because they discontinued the Prepurchase option just after I bought it!

Yes, you can no longer buy the Photopass plus from the Camera stores on site for the full price of $99.99 any longer. There is a new option coming out which appears to be of much less value. But I am sure more details will come out soon.

True, I never thought of that. My gripe is, I thought paying to stay at a hotel, they would ASSUME you have a car, which is why they make parking lots, why can't the cost of parking be covered by the nightly fee? At least blend it in so I don't think I'm getting COMPLETELY RAMMED up the dark side. I love it like a home, but I am getting priced out

Thanks. Keeping an eye out for updates (hopefully before our trip in Sept., so that's plenty of time). Sad to see it go but hope whatever they replace it with will work just as well.
