We are planning on staying at the Port Orleans Riverside. If we decided to drive our car instead of taking the bus to one of the parks do we have to pay a parking fee?

Once you check in to your resort, they will give you a pass to put on your dashboard that will allow you free parking at all of the parks. We have actually found that we like driving ourselves around instead of relying on Disney transportation. I have included a link to a map below. If interested I can also tell you where to find some things offsite, but very close by.:thumbsup2 (ie: McDonalds, KFC, Golden Corral, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, Wal Mart, ABC Store.)

All guests staying onsite at WDW get free parking at the parks, which can save alot of money. You can also use Disney transportation which is free and is normally pretty efficient.

They will ask you at check-in if you need a parking pass. It is an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper with your name on it to put in the windshield of your automobile:thumbsup2

Nice Map thanks!!

I recently drove down also, and found that it is nice to have the option. Some times you'll get those crowds and long lines.

The one time it might be wiser to take the bus than drive yourself is MK. You'll park at the TTC and either have to take the ferry or the monorail to MK, possibly even a tram. With the bus you'll go from resort to park, park to resort.
