How much is the parking fee at the Hyatt Regency Orange County? I just won a bid on Priceline, for $33 a night Easter Week and want to figure in the price of parking. I have never had to worry about parking fees so I want to be prepared.

We stayed there last Sept. The parking fee was $14/day, with in/out privileges of course.

BTW, you got a great deal for the Hyatt on Priceline! When we bid last year, the going price was $42/night.

Was this for self park was it was vallet? How do you pay the fee, do they just add it to your room or do you "pay as you go"?

It was for self-park. We had the parking charges added to our hotel bill. Valet parking, of course, would have cost us more--how much I didn't inquire because we didn't need it.

The self-park at the hotel is very convenient. You park in the lot, then walk through the hotel's back entrance which takes you to the ballroom area of the hotel, which then takes you to the lobby.

It's a beautifully renovated hotel. I hope you'll have a wonderful stay at this hotel!

WOW $14 a day for self park. That is ridiculous!! I have only stayed at hotels with free parking so $14 a night is quite a shock.

I thought it was $12. I may be wrong. Most of the 3 and 4 star Priceline rooms I have gotton have had parking fees.

Disneychrista, you have to figure in that his priceline bid was $33. So essentially, the Hyatt Regency for $45. :D It kinda takes the shock out of the sticker price.

I do not know what your travelling situation is,but Hyatt Regency has a nice little perk. Upgrades are cheap. For $25 we upgrade to a "Kidsuite" and it makes our lives alot easier. (some here say $15 but I have found it to be $25)
)

I did figure in the cost of parking before I put in a bid, I was not willing to make it higher the what already had ($55 at Days Inn & Suites).

I put in an email to them regarding what type of room, requesting two bed (I know I am only garenteed one) and if as a "gold passport" member they offer any "perks." So I am hoping they can at least get me two beds, if not an upgrade, which I am really only will to spend $10, maybe $15 a night.

Have a great time....I love that hotel! FYI, it is right across the street froma Target in case you forget anything.

The last time they gave us a kidsuite and it was a corner room...it was kinda like we were in a glass house because of all th ewind space.

My son had the birds eye view ...the fog came in and with all the windo space he sai "way cool Mom, it is like we are living in a cloud!"

I emailed Hyatt and they responding that their parking fee is $11 self park / $14 valet. They also said they would add my gold passport # and my request for two beds and a north tower room.

Sorry, DisneyChrista, for saying $14 was for self-park. $14 was indeed on our hotel bill (and I have double-checked my hotel bill from last year) for parking. I guess DH did valet parking without telling me!

BTW, we paid $15 for an upgrade to a kidsuite. Someone on this DL board had given me the heads up on his upgrade for $15 and also to become a Gold Passport member. When we arrived and checked in, we asked for an upgrade for the Gold Passport member fee. They told us it was $25, but we said that previous people had gotten it for $15. She told me to wait, that she had to talk to her manager. After some time, they came back to me and gave us the upgrade for $15, plus we got some meal coupons!

You may just want to inquire and see if you can come away with a deal! Good luck!

c&m, I just hope they didn't over charge you.

An upgrade would be nice but I won't pay more then $15 extra for is, so if they want to give it to me for that then, I'll take it. As long as there is (at least) two beds we will be in good shape.

I have this feeling that they did overcharge me, because I don't recall getting valet parking. However, the car was a rental that we just had for one night. So I don't feel too badly about it.

I wish I was going in 10 days too!!! The hotel is fabulous. You get a lot of restaurant choices too. Across the street is an Outback, Red Robin, and Joe's Crabshack. Next door to the Hyatt is the Hilton Suites which has a Buca di Beppo's in front of it.

Have a fun time, DisneyChrista!!!

Has anybody just parked next door at the Embassy Suites? It seems they have plenty of free parking. Also, how many stops does the shuttle to Disneyland make?

Based on my memory... the shuttle bus ride to DL park from the Hyatt had only one stop at the Crowne Plaza hotel. The ride from DL park back to the Hyatt had only 1 or 2 stops at the Hampton Inn (not sure about that) and the Embassy Suites, and then the Hyatt. It was not bad at all.

Mind you, there are other shuttle buses. The one I'm talking about here serviced these particular hotels.

The shuttle makes a total of 4 stops, the Hyatt being the first both ways. This is important because you won't get a seat otherwise. The other 3 stops are at the hotels just across the street though.

I was just there last month and that is how it worked for us.
