We have a dinner reservation at Cape May Cafe on our upcoming trip. If we park at the resort and then walk over to Epcot after dinner for Illuminations, will they let us park there that long? I'm sure that we will be more than 3 hours with both dinner and fireworks.

If you are going at a slow time of year, the parking lot over by the villas usually has lots of space - ergo, putting your car there would not be taking a spot from a resort guest. If you leave the closer-in spaces for BCV guests and add an extra 30 seconds to your walk, that seems to be a reasonable compromise.

If this were during spring break or a similarly busy time, I would recommend moving the car to the Epcot lot after dinner.

Technically, you are only supposed to park at the resorts while you are enjoying the amenities of that resort. So you can park there while you are eating, but you are supposed to move your car if you decide to enter into Epcot (or any theme park).

Now whether they will do anything to your car, that is debatable. It seems like they rarely enforce the parking limits (except during busy times of the year), but it is within their right to tow your car if you exceed the three hour time limit.

Awe, man, I've been waiting for this question to pop up since we got back, and I am SO late to the party!!!

Anyway, this is what happens if you park at the Contemporary and walk to the MK:

A couple days later we saw a security guy walking around checking cars, too.

This was posted on the Theme Parks forum. Somebody got the boot...
