We are doing a split stay 4 days off site and 5 days at the Dolphin. When I am off site, can I park at a WDW resort that I have a dinner reservation at? Is it complimentary or is there a fee? Thanks:)

There is no fee to park at a resort for a dinner reservation or just to visit/look around (unless you choose to valet park). The time limit is usually 3 hours as you cannot park there indefinitely and go to a park. HTH :).

depending upon where your dinner res is, it might be easier to use valet, WDW trans, or walk.

for example: at the GF and BW, the "free" parking lots for non-resort guests (i.e., anyone not staying at that particular resort) is across the street. both can be a bit of a hike (moreso at the BW). if staying at the dolphin, i would walk or boat to the BW/BC. for all other resort dining or when staying off-site, you might be best off parking at the TTC, going to the park of your choice, then taking trans (bus, monorail, boat) to a resort restaurant. if you expect to be done with your dining before park closing, leave your car at the park, and take WDW trans to/fro the dining resort.

fyi, they are more strict with non-resort guest parking at the monorail and EPCOT resorts. expect to show ID.
hth:)

Thanks. When you say to show ID, do you mean license or resort ID? Will they let me park at the Yatch Club to go to Yatchsman steak house for dinner if I am staying off site or will they give me a hard time. We would just be doing dinner not going to any parks that night. Thanks:)

You won't have any trouble. When you pull up to the guard shack, tell them you are there for dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse and they will ask for your name and a photo ID.

the only exception is when the resort is full - not necessary the parking lot - but the resort.

then you will have to park in the theme park closest to you. so always expect to pay when you are staying offsite.

although you should not have a problem.

be sure to bring your reservation number for the restuarant - plus your Drivers Licence - that is what they expect to see. have your DI ready when you drive up - lots of time they don't even ask where you are going - just pass you thru. but you will need your reservation number if you are asked.

We are staying at Universal and going to Ohana on 1/10/2013. I spoke to the Disney Dining people and was told me I may or may not have to pay depending on who is working.

You wouldn't have to pay at the resort, but like a pp mentioned if the resort is full you may have to park at the closest theme park -- in that case you would have to pay for parking because you're not a resort guest. For that date though I wouldn't worry -- it's a down time and the resort won't be full.
