Parking at WDW question

We're flying from California to WDW in 17 days!!!

We will be renting a car & driving to the parks each day.

I'm curious how the transportation works.

If we say go to the Magic Kindgom in the morning & then take the monorail to Epcot. Epcot closes at 9:30 while the Magic Kingdom closes at 7PM. Will the monorail still take us to the Magic Kingdom at 9:30 so we can get our car? Or do we need to move our car each time we park hop?

We typically move our car each time we park hop simply because when I'm done, I'm done and I want to get to the car as quickly as possibly. In your scenario, though, you'd have no problem. You don't actually park AT the MK, you park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and take a boat or monorail to the MK. When you're ready to go to Epcot you get back to the TTC via boat or monorail and then get on the Epcot monorail. I'm not sure of the exact times, but the TTC is open at least 2 hours after both MK and Epcot close. We have had our car there while we've had dinner at the Poly and had no problem picking it up around 11:00 or so, as I recall.

you could park at Epcot and take the monorail to MK first. Then when you go to Epcot later your car will all ready be parked there.
Lots of people park at the last park their going to visit that day.

Parking at the last park you are at is really the best.

There is one problem however. If the park you want to go to in the morning has early entry (and you want to be there for it), there may not be transportation to that park from the park you have your car at. For example, if MK opens at 8AM, and you park at Epcot, the Epcot monorail does not start running until about 8AM.
