We would really like to visit the town of Celebration whilst in Orlando this summer, so was reading about it online.

Quite frankly, it seems a little scary lol :scared:

Has anyone visited, and what was it like? I was wondering where we would park, and then read this:

Visitors to Celebration are encouraged to rent out options of transportation to travel within the community. The town is made up of plenty of winding walkways and there are sidewalks for added accessibility.

Residents of Celebration must use these options of travel within the community, and residents are encouraged to join in. Transportation and welcome centers in downtown Celebration let you know how to get your hands on:
Neighborhood Electric Vehicles
Segway Human Transporters
Bicycles
Walking

We are happy to walk, but we're unsure of where we would park our car in order to visit the town on foot...

:confused3

I found parking very easily behind some of the businesses by Market Street,I went early on a weekday so it wasn't exactly busy,if you go at 3pm on a weekend I can see it being more difficult finding a spot.I've wanted to go for years now to the pie festival, for someone who knows what's the parking situation for an event like this one.

We have been there many times and parking is really not an issue. There is plenty of parking downtown and the area is very walkable. I highly recommend dining at The Columbia Restaurant and DD is a big fan of the Hello Kitty store!

Agree with all of this, and don't forget Kilwin's for dessert!

We were there last week , not the first time ,and really it is nothing

" Awesome " about it

A pleasant place to drive around and look at the huge houses & then

drive towards the Lake .There is parking by the big Hotel & after parking

wander down to the lake & up towards the pavement water spouts.

There are many walking & bike trails to use as well.

Shops .... well are shops for rainy days .

Allow from base ... 2 to 3 hours for trip unless doing walking or biking trip

We've lived on Celebration for 13 years now. There is plenty of parking downtown, unless there is an event going in then parking can be tricky. There are shops and great restaurants (Columbia is our favorite), nature trails. It's a great place to visit for an Afternoon or evening. You can visit the celebrationtowncenter.com site for more info on the downtown. Have a great trip!
