Parking at TTC?

Okay, I've been to WDW enough that I should know the answer to this, but I don't! I was under the impression that you could park at the TTC and then take the monorail to Epcot or MK. When we were there in September, DH and I drove over to the TTC, but we didn't see anywhere you could park - only areas to drop people off. Did we just totally miss it? Were we in the wrong area, or was I wrong about parking at the TTC?

Yes, you were in the wrong area. The "Transportation & Ticket Center" is basically the Magic Kingdom parking lot. In order to get into it, you need to go through the MK toll plaza. If you come through the back way, you bypass the toll plaza.

Yes, we were at the lot that is basically right next to the Polynesian. If we had followed the signs for MK parking, would we have been in the right place? I thought you had to take the ferry from the MK parking lot? Am I just totally confused now??

As Tyler posted, the MK parking lot is part of the TTC. You take a tram from the parking lot the the TTC (just like you take a tram from the parking lot to the front gate at the other parks). From there you can either take a monorail to Epcot, boat to MK or Monorail to MK.

The road you were on is called Seven Seas Drive... it runs between the MK Parking lot, and the Transportation & Ticket Center. You can get to that road by either going the back way past Fort Wilderness (you will pass the Toll Plaza, but not go through it), or by veering off to the right after going through the MK Toll Plaza.

In order to get to the parking lot to park, you must physically go through the MK Toll Plaza itself.

I'm not sure where you were coming from, but from Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian, you must EXIT the Magic Kingdom area before you can re-enter to park in the parking lot. That's why I NEVER recommend guests of those resorts to drive... Disney Transportation will be the best bet.
