Parking At The Theme Parks Before On Property Resort Check-In?

I was wondering if someone could possibly give me some insight on this.

Tomorrow my mom and I are off to Disney World, she lives in the state of Florida so were simply going to drive down pretty early in the morning and go straight to one of the parks. We have reservations at an on-property hotel in addition to having our park tickets, and F+ time slot reservations on her My Disney Experience account. In addition to having our Magic Bands.

I'm aware that Disney does not charge its guests staying on property for parking at its theme parks. How do we go about having them not charging us upon arrival for parking at the theme park? Or, is there a way to get that refunded later when we check in at our hotel later in the day?

Thanks!

Hi - we did exactly that in February: staying at AoA, but went to a park first (didn't check in until after we went to a park). We had our Magic Bands and showed them to the gate guard at the park and they waved us through. But that was Feb. FWIW, I called and asked about this, and a CM said that they will 'scan' the MB (which has the info about your resort reservation). So maybe they actually scan your MB now.

Regardless, I think 'worse case' is you pay to park, then save your receipt and the resort check in person I'm sure will refund you the cost. I can't imagine there will be a problem.

We did this last week. Tell them you have an on-site reservation. They will scan your band and let you in. No trouble at all.

It may be a good idea to check in online. I was also told you can check in as early as 7:00 a.m.

Thank you very much for the advice and information in regards to this. I wasn't aware of being able to check in online, can that be done on the My Disney Experience app? Were leaving much earlier than 7AM, so that will make it difficult to do on rather my laptop or my moms laptop.

You can check in on line at any time and physically check in to your resort from 7 AM on. So, you could go to your resort, check in, drop your luggage and get your parking pass and then head to the park.

You can do online check in today before leaving home. Not certain if you are too close to your check in day or not but you can check. I did everything online through the website since it seems to glitch less than the app. When you look at the details of your reservation, you should see a link to check in online if it isn't too late. Good luck!

Now that is an awesome idea :)

If they have rooms available will they give you one at that time? Will they store your luggage for you until you get back if they don't?
