Is it true that after the kind of money you spend on the rooms that guests of the resort have to pay for parking? :rotfl2: If so how much is it? Thanks for any info.

$7 self park, $14 valet. These are the daily rates. Don't quite understand the :rotfl2: :confused3

Not only do you pay $7 a day for parking, but you pay tax on it.
How about that?
Not to mention the parking lot is usually full and you'll end up parking in the grass along the dog walk.

The hotel. I had 2 vehicles and was only charged for one. I found a closer place to park for Tower 2 pet rooms.

Just back from RPR. I had to pay $7 per night for parking. They do charge tax as well. However, for the rate I paid plus how nice the hotel is I didn't mind paying extra for parking.

Just one other note (off subject). Make sure you have a Lowes First card. You are able to use the Lowes First line which was practically empty when we checked in. The regular line would have literally took us 30 minutes to check in. With the Lowes first line we walked right up to the receptionist. I think it made some of the folks in the regular line jealous.

Thanks for the info about how much it costs to park at Universal. I usually stay with Disney but wanted to try something different. I am going July 06 so at the moment, I am spending a pretty penny for a week with Universal. I assumed ( yes I know ) that some things would be as Disney does but I guess free parking for resort guest is not one of those things. If I luck up on a price that makes me feel like I am getting a deal maybe I won't feel so bad about parking like you cdpa4d. I just wanted to add up all the costs of staying on campus vs off campus but I know know matter what nothing is going to compare to convenience. But I thank you all once again for your input and information.

July 6th is a great time to go because the parks stay open late and you get to see fireworks at 09:55pm. That's when I went this year. It's very hot in the afternoon, so it's good to go early in the morning, come back to the pool in the afternoon, then go back to the parks as the tired are leaving. Being able to walk back and forth is worth the extra money you pay.

Don't feel too bad, I'm staying at RPR at US and The Dolphin at Disney this Feb and getting spanked for parking at both places.

Do you know if there is a cost for handicapped parking also? Are they in the same lot? Thanks
