I know this question has probably been asked a million times, but I can't seam to find the answer. I looked for a FAQ thread or sticky and didn't find anything there. So here it goes...

If you are staying at one of the Disney resorts and have you own car do you have to pay to park at the parks?

We are planning on doing a little shopping in the morning then having tea at GF before MNSSHP. We are staying at Pop. Disney transportation to and from DTD is slower than to the parks so we tend to drive. We would love to just leave the car at GF and hop on the monorail over to MNSSHP, but know that is breaking the rules.

It is silly to pay for parking since we have the Disney transportation available to us for free. If it does cost we will just drop the car off at the Pop before heading to MNSSHP.

Resort guests can park at any of the parks for free for the length of their stay.

They will give you a parking permit when you check in. One thing I do is after I'm parked I remove or turn the permit over, just so others can't read. It has your name, resort and check out date. You just never know these days...:sad2:

But you will have to move your car to the MK parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center. You can not leave it at the GF after tea to go to the party. When you go to the GF for tea, the will give you a 3 hour temporary parking pass. They can tow your car after that time. Just move it to the MK lot and park for free.
