Parking at resorts

We're staying at the CB. We have an 8:25AM res for CP. We'll have a rental car and prefer to have it at the park. I know I can go to Poly or Contemporary and take the monarail to MK, since the TTC doesn't start moving till 8 or 8:30AM. But I just read something that I will only be able to park at the Poly for up to three hours??? Is this correct? Will I have to go back and get the car and park it at the TTC?

We've always had a rental car and have never used the buses. I have two little ones and a stroller. I do plan to stay at MK most of the day, just not sure about if the buses are my only option here.

How do non-disney guests make early breafast meals inside the park???

non-disney resort guests aren't surpose to make early reservations - but the PS in dinning always assume they are talking to a resort guest.

the buses start to go to the parks an hour before opening. there is also still the character breakfast (right - one of the bus drivers???) that I think starts an hour before the first character meal.

so you can get there by the buses.

the Cont and Polyn have a time limit on parking. Sometimes it is 2, 3,4 or 7 hours - there is no way to predict which parking permit you will receive. Some people say they didn't receive a parking permit - but I definitely have in the last 3 years.

I would park in the Cont and get everyone out there. but I would definitely leave when my time was up. Or take the bus in the first place. the bus can take you to the front of the MK. Otherwise you would need to park the car, then take the tram to the front of TTC, then either a monrail or ferry tothe MK.

believe a bus is quicker and easier even with the strollers.

WDW doesn't do if often but cars have been towed away.

Yes, they will probably limit parking at any of the MK resorts to about 3 hours.

The TTC parking lot opens at 7AM. You will need to get on the RESORT monorail which also starts at 7AM. Bring alsong some kind of confirmation that you have a PS for CP (confirmation #) in order to get on the resort monorail.

Another thought for you...if the resort monorail, for whatever reason, isn't stopping at TTC, just park at TTC and take the short path over to the Polynesian and board the monorail there. It does start running at 7 a.m. as noted before. I would think that using the bus for MK is the best idea overall though. It can be a long walk from the parking lot area. Then when you have to leave, after a day in the parks, it's a pain to have to wait for the monorail or ferry, then take the tram to your area in the parking lot. Much easier to load yourself, kids and strollers, onto the bus at your resort.

I can see using a car for the other theme parks but MK is just a lot of hassle in my opinion.

You are not suppose to park at the resorts to go to MK all day thus the 3 hour maximum pass for parking is given. They are more strick about this during the morning hours as they know many are trying to do what you are suggesting.

Park at the TTC center and then take the RESORT monorail (or the regular one if it happens to be running) and then get to MK that way.

OR take the bus.

I thought I read before that the monarail and the ferry don't start running at the TTC until 8 and 8:30AM???

The bus does sound like the best way, but I think the little ones would like the ferry and or monarail ride. I guess I could always take them just to ride it back and forth, is that silly????
