Parking at resorts for ADR

Planning our next trip and will be first time we have a rental car. Usually we bus or monorail around.

I know Poly is ok with allowing guests to park if they have dining reservations. Can someone tell me how it is at Contemporary and Beach Club? We will be staying at CBR but don't want to take bus and monorail to other resorts for dining?

I have stayed at Contemporary before and remember there was a guard but we were guests so didn't pay attn to what happened to get in/out.

Thx!

If you valet park your car, you are free to leave it at your ADR resort all day. Otherwise you may end up with a 3 hour parking pass, and have to move your car after your meal.

If you don't want to pay for valet, or move your car, for the Contemporary meal park at the TTC. You can then monorail over to the Contemporary. For the Beach Club it is a bit trickier. You would have to drive around after your meal and park in the Epcot parking lot if you don't want to pay for valet.

I just went yesterday to Contemporary for dinner and they let me self park with no mention of a time limit

They don't have to give a parking pass or formally set a time. The parking does have a sign about not being or MK parking and the time of entrance is noted at the guard shack. If they feel its be essay to enforce and remove its easy because only non-guests do not have parking passes in the window. That said, parking for dinner is perfectly acceptable and the lots are sized for that, do given its dinner probably no issue.

As for valet parking, it appears one of my predictions came true today. It was announced today that valet parking is increasing from $12 to $15 plus tax (about $16.80). With at least a $2 tip it's now about $19 to valet park, now much higher than theme park parking areas which remain at $14. Apparently so many people were using the valet parking trick that Disney had to respond.

thanks everyone for the responses! I figured it shouldn't be an issue to self park but just wanted to check before I choose ADR times! :)

Can you park at a resort for your ADRs? Sure. And you can probably leave the car there while you head to a park for the day. BUT....understand that that policy can change at any time. Disney has signage that states parking at the resort is not for park access. So, if you leave your car there, for hours on end, you 'could' have an issue. Most likely not, but it could happen. Just want everyone to know the facts.
Disney always leaves an out so they can make changes with little to no notice...that whole 'subject to change at any time' clause!!!

I knew you can't park at resorts parking to goto theme park (in fact that irks me a lot when people do to avoid parking fee). I strictly just want to park for ADRs as I normally would stay at a deluxe and monorail to poly and contemp for dinners and this time we are trying a mod.

Thanks everyone for the info.

Does anyone happen to know how late the valet parking stays open until?

Valet is 24 hours a day - might not be as many runners in the middle of the night but I know my daughter has valet parked over at the Boardwalk to go to JellyRolls before and has come back for her car at 2 AM.
