Parking at Port Canaveral

I have a parking questions as this is the first time that I am driving into the port. Is it best to park in the parking garage? or just as well to park in the lots? I don't want to pay extra for the preferred parking. I have heard that if I park in the garage I should park on the 3rd floor, is this true? Is it more convenient?

Also If I drop my family off so that I can park the car and they don't have to walk, will we have any trouble meeting up once I get finished?

Upon arrival there will be staff to direct you. It is your decision but after you dropped your luggage (and passengers) drive to the parking garage (you pay upon entry) then walk down to meet your party before entering security. If you stay together (after the luggage drop) you can use the walkway on level 3 to pass through security (the line is often shorter).

Next time you see your luggage? Your stateroom in the late afternoon!

If you park in the garage at the port, it's best for the family to remain together until you've actually parked in the garage. There is a sky bridge on the 3rd floor of the parking garage that connects to the second floor of the terminal (same level as check-in).
