If we have dinner reservations at O'hana can we park at Poly and go to MK for the day? We have run into a problem in the past that the monorails had stopped running by the time dinner was over.

You can Valet Park for $20+tip, but parking at a resort to visit a park is prohibited.

The monorail runs until an hour after MK closes. If it stops running to the TTC, it also stops running to the Polynesian. You'd take the ferry or the bus, the latter starting if the monorail does close for the night.

As already mentioned, you cannot use the free self parking at the Poly while you go off to MK (unless you are a guest at the Poly). You mention that the monorail may stop running by the time your dinner is over. Is it that you are concerned about getting back to your vehicle? Easy solution: park in the MK lot (TTC). After dinner at the Poly, you can just walk next door to the MK/TTC lot.

I'm not sure why this is an issue. If you park at the TTC, where you're supposed to park for park access, you can go to MK for the day, head to the Polynesian for dinner, and then just walk over to the TTC and leave. The walk is about 10 mins.
It is not intended that you park at the Polynesian early in the day, then head to MK and return to the Poly for dinner.

I agree with the others. I'd park at the TTC, go to MK for the day, monorail over to the Poly for dinner, then walk back to the TTC lot (less than a 5 minute walk). Overall that would take less time than getting your car, exiting the MK lot and driving to the Poly...seeing that you'd have to exit the MK lot completely, loop back into MK parking on the other side of the pay gate and back in.

I didn't realize the TTC was that short of a walk from the Poly. That is the kind of information I am glad to get when I post a question. I don't think the extra attitude was necessary, though. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

What attitude? You really should apply emotion to a post on a message board.

I do not see any attitude, just a statement of fact that it is not intended that non resort guests park and go to the MK.

There is a possibility you could be towed. WDW started doing hat in the last couple of years or so.

Were you not given the info about parking at the Poly on another thread? Seems to me you were told the exact same thing before--valet park but otherwise don't leave your car there all day.
