I know you can park at the Poly if you're eating there, but is there a time limit? I seem to remember reading you aren't supposed to leave your car there if you then want to go to the MK afterwards, but I don't see this confirmed anywhere. Can someone clue me in on this one?

Thanks.

If you are not a guest of the Polynesian you will be given a 3 hour parking pass. If you want to visit the Magic Kingdom after it's best to park at the TTC and from there you can walk to the Polynesian, which only takes 5 minutes. By parking at the TTC you can leave your car there until the Magic Kingdom closes.

Sometimes they do not give you times.

If you valet park you are generally allowed to stay all day - at least we've been allowed to stay each time we've asked

What shellybaxter said-if you valet park, you can stay the entire day. I have done it numerous times, even New Year's Eve 2005 into 2006. Parked 8:45 for a 9am ADR at Ohana's and picked up my car 2am next morning.

I agree, it's a nice, pretty and short walk. You don't have to walk back to the TTC - just hop the monorail at the Poly to go to MK, but when leaving MK, get off the monorail at the TTC.

Thanks for the suggestions. Looks like we'll either valet park or park at the TTC and walk to the Poly. Just out of curiosity, could we monorail from the TTC to the Poly?

Yes, you can. It's the next stop and the monorail drops you off on the second floor steps from Kona Cafe.

Just be sure to take the resort monorail rather than the express to the MK.

Thanks for the tip. Not that we'd be opposed to walking, but considering we're insane in that we'll have just driven 17 hours straight through from Ohio, will have arrived at 7 AM and done a full morning at MK, then had a break in the afternoon before heading to dinner and back to MK for Spectro and Wishes, we'll probably be grateful for any rest we can find! :)

I'm exhausted reading your plans! But it does sound like fun.

Just evaluate when you park. Most likely, taking the tram to the TTC and then the monorail will entail the least walking.

And don't forget--if you valet park, add the cost of the tip into what you are paying.
Since we can park at the TTC for free, makes no sense to us to shell out additional money to park at the Poly, when it's so close to the TTC. We always just take the short walk over and back--sometimes the monorail is SRO.

We drove in November and December to Kona and the gate guard told us both times 3 hours whether you are valet or self parking. He put a pass in our windshield that said visitor. So maybe it depends on who is running the gate.

I know - but won't it be fun though? :yay:

I agree - why bother with paying more when the TTC is within walking distance? The property maps must be deceiving because it doesn't look all that close. And besides - we can monorail it to the Poly if we're really that tired.
