Parking at hotels??

Is it true that you pay to park when staying at the onsite hotels? How much is it per day? Just trying to budget. Thanks!

Yes they charge for parking. It is $6/day for self-parking, and I think $12/day for valet. Be careful if you valet park the first day and self park the rest of the time, they may accidentally charge you for valet parking for the entire stay. Check your bill if you do this.

I asked RPS about this when I booked my room and the lady said it was because Loews owns the hotels but not the land. And Universal requires the parking fee for parking on it's land. I don't really buy that excuse but it may be true.

I know that is what they say.....but if it were true then all the AP holders should get the fee waived, afterall, the AP includes free parking......so if it is Universal's land.....it should be free to AP holders!!!! Lowe's doesn't work it that way though!!! And for that matter....they should just up the rates by $6.00 & no one would even know ..... so they won't complain..... just me ranting and raving......

and one more thing while I am at it..... I don't get why they will charge you the $6.00 if you are staying at one of the resorts & drive to the other for lunch or what ever & charge you $6 for that lot!....then you are paying the $6.00 where you are staying & the $6 to park at the other resort....they just got $12 from you.... and YES they do that. Again...just me ranting & raving.....

How far of a walk is it from resort to resort? I was hoping to park and not drive for a few days. Isn't everything within walking distance?

You can walk to city walk IOA and Universal also a courtesy bus runs from resort too wet n wild and sea world but not disney
