If we have an ADR at Goofy's Kitchen, can we park at the DLH for 2 hours? If so is there a charge, or do they use your ADR as proof? We aren't staying close and we are thinking of doing Goofy's Kitchen for dinner on our arrival day (non-park day) but I don't want to walk all the way to DLH from S Clementine.

Similarly on our departure day we are looking at breakfast at Surf's Up in PPH and would prefer to drive there rather than make the long walk.

I think you will have to pay for the parking. It makes me crazy to pay for parking, even when I am staying at a DL resort, unless I am staying at VGC on points.

I'm fine with paying, as long as it isn't much more than $20 or so.

I'm in the camp that I don't mind having to pay for parking at a hotel. I see it like if they didn't charge me for parking, then they would likely just make every room $10 more per night, so people without cars are having to "pay" for parking too. Same with crib & roll away fees. Yes, I understand some may feel this is nickel & diming you, and don't get me wrong, I love it when these are free, but I don't mind when it is charged. I just add it to our total hotel cost when comparing rates. The one fee that does drive me nuts is the resort fee - everyone has to pay that! I hate it even more when it is hidden.

You can park in the Downtown Disney parking lot for free for 3 hours. It's very close to DLH but you will have a little bit of a walk over to PPH.

Has to be Better than the 1 mile walk from the hotel ;-)

This is what I was going to suggest. It's honestly just as close to DLH as its parking lot. And free!

I don't know about recent policy, but several years ago my aunt parked at the DLH for Goofy's Kitchen, got a validation, and didn't have to pay. I think our meal was under 2 hours. The OP might want to call or email the DLH to make sure about this.

You can park at the Disneyland Hotel for 3 hours with validation from Goofy's or STeakhouse 55. You can park at PPH with a validation at Pacific Grill and you can park at GCH for 3 hours with validation from Storytellers or Napa Rose.

Perfect - thank you!

Yes. They will validate hotel parking for 3 hours for certain restaurants...GK being one of them. Make sure you bring your parking ticket to the restaurant.

Does PCH Grill validate too? I assume not for DTD parking though, right?

Parking at DTD (the hidden gem*)...

DTD offers 3 hours free parking regardless of who parks there. An additional 2 hours of free parking are available with a purchase at DTD, movie, and/or select restaurants. $2 per 20-min increment thereafter with cap at $30. Valet is $6 on top of that, which isn't bad on a busy weekend. Plus you have a nice close parking spot to all things Disney.

*The hidden gem - How to get totally free parking

1) Re-park (exit/re-enter) every 3-5 hours if you do not plan to stay the entire day.

2) Stay the entire evening beyond 1-2am when the parking attendants leave.
When the attendants leave, the gates remain up. Free exit!

The lot I prefer to use is right outside ESPN Sportszone (Magic Way and Downtown Dr)

Since a lot of folks want to spend the whole day at Disneyland, paid good $$$,
why not stay an extra hour or two and save $30 of parking? $30 could be spent on
something else. Relax at DGC or DLH, Trader Sams even. Plus you have a nice close
parking spot to all things Disney.

The gates at DTD parking remain up after-hours because the lot is used by vendor
trucks to restock the restaurants and stores. There's other maintenance reasons as
well.

Just to add to this, you get free valet parking at Grand Californian Hotel when you eat at Storytellers or Napa Rose. If I remember correctly, I parked at Disneyland Hotel with free valet when I ate at Steakhouse 55. I believe you get the same if you eat at Goofy's Kitchen or at PCH Grill at Paradise Pier Hotel -- that is, that you get the free valet at the respective hotels for those restaurants. It's a great deal, and just costs the tip for valet.

Just note that this does not apply to eating at Downtown Disney. You need to park at the Downtown Disney lot because the Disney hotels will charge you, and it's expensive. :)
