I am at a standstill on my condo or villa search because I'm finding that there are many parking restrictions. So before I spend anymore time inquiring about rates and locations I thought I would post here and hope a owner or someone with experience renting off site would tell me if my search is futile.

I am a full time RV'er and drive a one ton dully. I was hoping to meet my father and brother at the unit I rent because we are all coming from different directions. Now I'm finding that my shiny new truck is not allowed in the developments I have checked.

Does anyone know if garage parking is an option? I was hoping to to be near the Shuberth Rd entrance. I wanted my father to have the comfort of a condo or villa on a ground floor.

Is there any place for me and my truck?

:confused3

Will you have another vehicle? You may be able to park it elsewhere... Like in the Walmart parking lot on 27.

The homes will have an integral garage - but not knowing anything about trucks and the likes I have no idea whether it will fit into a normal garage. If it will I can't see there will be a problem as long as you don't select a home that has games equipment in theirs. If it helps -as a guide our garage is 20x20 ft

Encore RV Park is west on 192. I know as an owner in EI they are not allowed but if you park it at the rv park you would be all set.

We are renting from All Star Vacation Homes http://www.allstarvacationhomes.com/index.asp and our check-in package information includes the statement: "If you need specific parking arrangements for recreational vehicles, trailers, or buses, please coordinate this with our reservations department. Some of our developments allow for these vehicles and some do not. In the latter case, we have a designated parking area to accommodate those larger vehicles."

Good luck in your search!

Thanks for your input. I will check out the possibility of parking at Encore and contact allstarvacation. It would be nice if she would fit in a garage but that could end up a tight fit or almost fit.

This is not exactly what you were looking for but maybe it helps. Looking at the map of Orange Lake, there is an area near the North Villiage that is listed as RV parking. Off the top of my head, I don't know what restrictions it has but I would think this is a positive sign for RV owners.

We drive a 3/4 ton 4WD (F-250) and just got back. We stayed in a gated community and didn't have any problem. We did not fit in the garage (too long and too tall), but we were able to park in the driveway. Of course, our truck isn't quite as large as yours.
