Parking at AK for early ADR?

We have an 8:15 ADR at Tusker house. I have read that we will not be able to park in the AK parking lot before the park opens . Can anyone confirm if this is true? I'd hate to have to drag my two littles on the bus at the crack of dawn.

Not true. You will be able to park in the lot before the park opens.

The issue is that the AK parking lot doesn't open up nearly as early as the other lots do....so, will it be open by 8? More than likely. But, will it be open at 7:30?? Not so sure. And if you park the car at 8, you are going to be hard pressed to be at the podium at Tusker House by 8:15, let alone the 10 mins early they ask for.

Sorry but you'll need to get up early and take the bus. Some of you can skip a shower or shave or other primping to speed you along.

You need to allow enough time that if the first bus that comes fills up without you, the next one will get you there on time.

For off siters, the current consensus is that if you are held up at the parking lot entrance, the restaurant should schedule you in, pretending or imagining that your ADR time was ten minutes after your actual moment of arrival at the podium. Even if you did not work up a sweat on your way from the tram drop off. I'll suggest something else if I see considerable anecdotal evidence that even Guest Relations was unable to satisfy a guest in this fix.

I had an ADR for the first breakfast seating at Tusker House (I believe it was for 8 am) and had no problems parking in the AKL lot around 7:30 am.
