Parking at a resort question...

I have a question for those of you who drive around WDW. We usually stay on property and use Disney Transportation, but this year we are renting a car and staying off property. So, here is my question: On the day we want to go to Epcot, can we park at a resort such as Boardwalk to eat breakfast and then walk into Epcot, leaving our car parked the resort parking lot? Or is that a no-no? Thanks, Dawn

It's a no-no according to WDW policies. The resorts are now giving out 3 hr parking passes to those visiting WDW resorts for meals etc. While some here have reported wither not getting the pass, or leaving their cars (with the pass) all day long, others have seen the tow trucks come in and tow away the cars with expired passes. I wouldn't chance it. Depending on what the rest of your plans are for the day, you might want to park at MGM and take the ferry over to board walk. You can then take the ferry or walk over to the International Gateway at Epcot.

Resort parking is for resort guests only. I have read many reports of them towing cars parked at a resort all day when the owner isn't a resort guest. I don't know if there is an area around the Boardwalk for non-resort guests (we never drive) though. Hopefully someone else can chime in. Personally, I'd plan to move the car.

Boardwalk does allow parking at nite to non-wdw resort guests. It due to the activities at the BW at night. Its tough at certain times of the year to find the lot not FULL.

WDW resort guests and off property guests are allowed a 3 hour limit at properties they are not registered as a resort guest. At sertian busy times of the year this 3 hour advantage is pulled.
