Is there anywhere to park close enough to walk with small kids near Disneyland? Or reduced price parking? Going three days and don't want to pay $45 parking! I'd rather spend that on food. Thanks ahead of time.

I don't know of free parking, but I know that Ramada Maingate - at the Park used to let non-guests park in their lot for $10 a day. Which would save you some money.

They are located a very short walk away from the front gates off of Harbor.

If you are interested, you might call the front desk and see if they are still allowing this to happen.

Their phone number is 714-772-0440.

If you purchase your park tickets through AAA... it offers free parking at "Mickey and Friends" and also comes with a discount card and preferred seating.

Will you be staying at a nearby hotel? Most still have free parking and you can walk or take a shuttle.

I know this is a stupid question, but we've never stayed at either - do PP and DLH have free parking?

Where are you staying. I always try to get a hotel that is walking distance or offers free shuttles.

There are hotels that still have free parking. However, they are far enough away from Disney that you are now paying for your family to ride on the Anaheim Resort Transit (ART), so it's a wash. A one day pass for a family of four on ART is $10, plus you have to stand around and wait for it.

We are staying in my moms house in Laguna Beach. What is VCG or what ever you said? I don't know how you got Disneyland anything through AAA because I called two weeks ago and they told me they no longer do any sort of Disney tickets. Maybe they do if you stay at a hotel. They do however have a fantastic Sea World discount!

You could always take the OCTA #83 bus from the Laguna Hills Park & Ride. If you count the time you use taking the Shuttle from any of the Disney lots it really wouldn't take that much extra time. Plus it is $3 round trip which is a pretty good deal. It drops you off on Harbor at the main crosswalk.

Holy moley I never thought about this! My only thing is buses don't have car seats right? I guess it's safe. I never considered that but what a great idea! I wonder how long it takes to get there? And wondering if they travel after 8 at night. I will have to google this option to see but times. Thanks a ton!

AAA still sells DLR tickets- I just looked at their website. It is possible that your local branch stopped having them in stock. Some branches let you buy your tickets right there from them. Go to the AAA website and you will find info on tickets and they still offer the free parking. Before we started buying APs, we bought tickets only (not a vacation package) through AAA with free parking. It's a great deal! :thumbsup2

No, buses don't have car seats--they don't need them because of compartmentalization...basically the higher seat backs and larger size of the bus (vs smaller size of cars) is how they keep small children safe. Try to seat your children in the seats that have other seats in front of them versus seats that just face out into the open aisle.

M&M-Mommy- When you got your tickets through AAA and received the coupon book & preferred seating did you get that as part of a package or tickets only? I too always buy my tickets through AAA and have never received these unless I buy a package. Love saving $75 on 5 days worth of parking though!!!

Yes but ... that doesn't work as it should till a child is the size of an average 5/6 year old :)
Former CPST - but I haven't forgotten what I learned.
