Parking add on for AP is back?

So, I need to renew our APs by tomorrow. When I went online just now to do so, we were presented with the pass options and there were several with "parking" added in. Looks like it is $250/year for the add on. FWIW, we all have Signature passes but I was given the option to get Deluxe, Flex, or So Cal Select passes with parking and/or Maxpass added on. A deluxe with parking and Maxpass came to $1150, which is just $100 less than Signature, so not a very good deal. Flex with Maxpass and parking was like $949. We are sticking with Signature, but thought it was interesting that even my kids passes could have parking added on if we downgraded our passes. Prior to having Signature passes, they had Deluxe passes and never had parking added on. I also did not realize they would allow the parking to be added to the Flex pass.

Anyone know if this is new or if parking is only allowed for renewals?

I thought it was only allowed with renewals if you were already grandfathered in.

It’s only for renewals and has been for a number of years, you are allowed to add the parking benefit on a renewal if you are downgrading from a pass that includes it just can’t do it when it’s a brand new pass.

Hmmmmm this is very interesting! I may have to downgrade next year if I want to keep our passes. The parking add on would be great as we typically go twice a month minimum.
