Parking a problem in Congress Park section of SSR?

I was planning to request Congress Park for our Thanksgiving stay at SSR, but I wondered if a lot of people drive to the parking spaces near that bridge to walk to Downtown Disney. Is it harder to find a parking spot in front of your building?

We haven't had any issues but haven't stayed there since the new walkway was installed.

We stayed at Congress Park in June 2015 and had no problems finding parking spaces.

We have stayed in Congress Park multiple times including 3 times since the new walkway was completed, Sept 2014, April 2015 and July 2015, and never had a hard time finding parking by our building.

I was there in May. While the lot was fuller and we didn't always get the ideal spot, it was never full. A "bad" spot was closer to the road than the building--no biggie.

Thank you so much for your responses everyone! It is good to hear that even with the new walkway parking isn't really a problem. I will put that worry out of my head and request Congress Park.

Also there are buses that go to DTD so I think many people take the bus rather than walk. We preferred to walk since we were close and it's a nice walk.

Is there any particular room location more desirable at Congress Park to be near the walkway ? What about the DTD view? Will be booking our first SSR stay soon!!
