Does anyone have experience parking a 12 person conversion van at the resorts or at the parks? Our family will be renting one for our trip. Staying at Bay Lake and thinking of driving to HS and AK to make early breakfast reservations. Thanks!

No problem, even if it is a little longer than a car or minivan or pickup truck.

Most spaces at the parks and some spaces at the resorts are arranged for two cars one behind the other. If the style of the Segway CMs that day had all the front halves of the spaces in a row filled first and you came along with a longer than average van then they might have you do a little loop the loop into the next row to land in a space both halves of which are empty.

Florida law prohibits camping except in approved campgrounds. You may not go back to a vehicle to sleep while it is in a parking lot.

We rented one in June. If the doors swing out, you'll need to pay attention to how close the car beside you parks at the theme park parking lots.

I can't remember which park it was but a jeep pulled up super close and there was no way we were getting the kids out! So, I asked the lady if she could please adjust her car over in the space more! She knew she was way too close when she went to open her door and could barely squeeze herself out.

At the Animal Kingdom the parking attendant saw us and directed us to the last spot in the row right by the tram, that was really nice of him.

At the resort there were a few spots that had wider areas beside of them for the maintenance people. My husband always backed in to those with no problem. If those weren't open then he would just go a little farther out in the parking lot where there were more empty spaces.

Every so often you may run into (drive into) a parking lot where the spaces are outright too narrow. There you may need to find two spaces next to each other and intentionally park off center so there is more room for the van doors to be opened.
