Parking a car at CSR?

Do you have to pay to park at CSR? Where is the parking in relation to the rooms? Is it a big central lot, or lots near each "section" of the resort? Thanks!

You don't have to pay to park at CSR. If I remember correctly, the parking lots are all 1 big, inter-connected lot. So there is parking close to each area.

But, even within your area, the parking can be a little far from your room. We were in Ranchos 6B. So it was the bulding closest to lake area but farthest from the parking lots. And our room was on the side opposite the parking area. We actually had to walk past most of building 6A to get to our room.

I guess that's actually a good thing because our room was very quiet but some days, at the end of a long day, I was simply dreading that walk.

No charge for parking at any Disney resort (except the Swan and the Dolphin). There is a bigger lot at Coronado Springs for the convention people and for people checking in. Then the parking for the registered guests is secured and in smaller lots near the individual buildings. To get to your buildings, you will need your room key to activate the gates to get back to the guest area. I do offer this warning - unless they have moved the activation boxes closer, we had a hard time reaching them with our key card.
