Park Vue Review

Thanks for the review, we're staying here in Sept, can't wait!!! When you figure out how to get pics on would love to see them too!

Stayed there last August and loved how close it was. Staying again Thanksgiving week this year. Returning guests get a small discount, something like 5%.

Tried to go on there to check out prices for our October trip and their sit has major issues. Haven't been able to access the last two days because it says they have reached their bandwith. I can call, but still...

I'm having the same problem. I would like to view their website before booking but I haven't been able to access it today.

Thanks for the review. We will also be staying here in November. It's kind of funny I read a real good review on this place and a really bad one on this board in the same day. But I have come to realize almost all the hotels/motels on Harbor have some negative reviews and I have tried to base our trip on what the majority of people have to say.

exactly what I think and do. I rely on trip advisor a lot too, every hotel on there has some negative reviews, but as long as the good far outweighs the bad, and the pictures look good, I trust it. and Park Vue Inn is the #3 hotel there. Going to go look for the bad review you read here just to see what was said

Unfortunately, we are one of the ones with a bad review. We were unaware about picking up water every day before the walk to the park. The biggest thing was mold on the shower curtain and hair in the shower. We had a queen and bunk bed room.

I do like the location to the park and we just got back from our stay today. Many choices for breakfast, but we didn't eat there for their light dinner meal.

I've been thinking about this post all day and fretting about my decision to stay at one of the "off site" hotels on Harbor in October. I wonder if the difference between the off-site and Disney hotels, other than money, of course, is that the off-sites are just not consistent. People have good or bad experiences with them. But people rarely have bad experiences with the Disney hotels. It happens but Disney tries pretty hard to make up for it and these other hotels know that at the price they offer, they just don't need to.

Picture of the double queen room we stayed in last August. Simple, clean, close, nuff said.

We stayed at the Park Vue last July. Our experience was fine. Was it a 4-5 star hotel? No. Did it meet our needs? Yes. It was affordable and close to the parks. The walk is short between the gates and the hotel- that is very important to us. Closer then the DL hotel, and about 1/3 the price. Our room was what I would consider clean. Many of the rooms around ours were getting new carpet while we were there. Did that cause some noise and mess outside? Yes, but it was for improvements/ repairs, so I understand. I also dont have a problem with things like trash bags outside. To me that says "someone is in the middle of doing their job", the next time I walk by the trash is more than likely gone, as they finished their task.

We have not been to WDW, only DL. We did stay onsite one time, Oct. 2005. It was expensive and the walk was long (PPH). We spend such a small amount of time in our room its just not worth it for our family.

We have also had acceptable stays at the BWPPI and the Candy Cane. I guess we just arent high end hotel people.

I LOVE highend hotels! But not for the prices DLR charges. :)
And like you said, if you don't end up spending much time in your room, it's not worth it for alot of people to stay onsite.

I am trying to find a link to a study done a few years back the if I remember correctly said that the average vacationer/traveler spent 43% of the 24 hour day in their room..I enjoy a nice room to come back to and since we can only take one trip a year we try to stay at one of the resort hotels...Have a great trip.

Thanks for the picture, the room looks nice and comfortable, and clean. Comparable to several of the nice hotels that are along Harbor Blvd. personally if I found a hair anywhere in the room I would assume the housekeeper lost it while cleaning, especially if other wise the room was nice. For sure it is not as fancy as The Disneyland Hotel, where by the way we had dirty glasses on the drink tray one time! did we check out? no we called for clean glasses lol...

Great review! We will be staying there in July, can't wait!!! :thumbsup2 This gets me even more excited!

If you listen to the Disunplugged podcast, you'll hear that the podcast team has had some very negative experiences at the GCH on some recent Adventures by Disney tours, and actually won't stay there again if they can help it (though they rave about the DLH after its remodel). I don't have an opinion on the GCH one way or the other-I come from the Pacific NW so its theming doesn't feel very special to me :), though my husband would love to stay there-but I just point this out to say that there are mixed reviews everywhere you go, and you have to decide what's important to you. We stay onsite at WDW-last time rented DVC points and I think that's the only way we'll go there from now on-but since you don't have the location bonus at DL, I just don't think it's worth an additional $300 or $400 a night for my family, especially since we'd have to stay in a smaller room than we can get offsite.

Add us to the list of "we loved our stay at Park Vue." We were there from May 20-25. We had a first floor room with two queens and a bunk bed. I was a bit hesitant at first, like many others, after having read the reviews, but it was a great price for a room that fit my family. By the time we we left, my DH said it was by far his favorite place to stay. We've also stayed at BWPPI and Desert Inn. The staff we great and always had a smile. The breakfast we perfect. My kids loved it. I know there are others who have said it was completely unedible, but that was not our experience. There was a decent variety of food to fit just about anyone's wants and some of the hot food wasn't the same thing every day, bacon one day, sausage the next, scrambled eggs one day, biscuits and grave the next. The room was a little bit cramped, but that was because we had 4 suitcases, a double stroller, and 4 backpacks (this was the first part of our trip and we have a 3 month old hence packing so much). It was also very clean and the beds and carpet were in great shape. Anyway, there is more that could be said, but I'll just stop now by saying it was a great stay and we will for sure stay there again.

I'm staying at the Park Vue as I type. We are taking a short break after our Feast at Goofy's Kitchen. No time for a detailed review, but we are VERY pleased with our stay so far!

Big rain storm headed here later, hope you are having a great stay.
