I have a reservation with HoJos but I am thinking about changing it to Park Vue or Park Place Inn. I haven't been to either. The reason I am thinking about changing is that the walk to HoJos and back a few times a day with strollers is hard. I want something as close as possible.
Out of the two in my title what one would you choose and why?
Oh and please don't recomend Dessert Inn. We were there in June and thought it was old and dirity. We had a bad stay there.

We have never stayed at the ParkVue, but have stayed at BWPPI several times and have always been happy with it. As you mentioned, the short walk is great.

Stayed at BWPPI several times. What you tend to hear around here is that BWPPI is more consistently satisfactory, while Park Vue is more of a mixed bag - some good experiences mixed in with some bad ones. That is why we tried BWPPI and have stuck with it.

Just a thought ~ how old are your children? What days will you be in the parks? Have you thought about park hours? If DL is open from 10am~8pm will you need to take an afternoon break? We stayed @ HoJo's last month ~ my children are 8 & 5 (5 year old had a stroller) we did not take afternoon breaks, I did not mind the walk from HoJo to DLR and back.

Editing to add ~ It looks like you'll be there over a weekend so the parks will open early and close late. I don't know that I'd stay @ HoJo's if I coudn't get the ent. rate. I haven't stayed @ the 2 places you're considering so I can't help there.

We always stay at the park vue and we have never had a complaint about the rooms .The rooms are just basic like all the other hotels I have stayed at on harbor blvd its decent for the price and the beds are pretty comfortable. I have read the bad reviews of this place and I have discovered none so far. I hope this helps .

We are looking at a stay at Park Vue in March. For those that have stayed there, is there much parking available? We're driving down from BC, Canada, so definitely need a parking spot.

We stayed at BW Park Place Inn and it was fine, nothing spectacular other than the location. For walking, I prefer it over Disneyland hotel. We did stay there once, and while I love the magic of staying in the Disneyland Hotel, I don't think its worth the cost. I also didn't like the walk back through DTD.

BWPPI would be my choice. But I've never stayed at Park Vue so I can't compare.

There's plenty of parking at Parkvue.

We stayed there and had no problems. It's great being that close to the parks, for that price.

One thing that might sway it for you though, is that Parkvue is not a Good Neighbour hotel - even though they do have the logo on their site. This annoys me, but not enough to stop me staying there.

Tropicana is next door to BWPPI and has good reviews from posters here. I just changed my hotel to Tropicana after checking rates again and seeing a great web special rate of $91.75 a night. BWPPI was still at $144 for the same dates! Might be worth checking into if they have what you are looking for. :cool1:

I'll be able to tell you what I think of Park Vue after Friday, lol. We are staying there Wed-Fri this week, since I got a better deal there than at HOJO's. You definitely can't beat the Ent. Rate @ HOJO's and the walk wasn't that bad with a double stroller and an 8 year old all by myself. But, if you can't get the Ent Rate, it's worth checking out other places if you are game. Something that I've realized too, is that everyone's experience is different based on whatever their expectations for the hotel are. If you go in with little to no expectations other than a clean place to stay, I've never been let down.

I've never stayed at BWPPI either, so I'm really not much help. But I will take some pictures and stuff and tell you how we liked it when we get back!

Stayed @ Park Vue last two trips. We have not experienced any issues with parking, safety, room cleanliness...all has been well. They have various room types and usually offer internet special room rates. In the past they have also offered cash discounts.

The new Coldstone is open now and the newly remodeled Denny's is right next door. I would steer clear of IHOP as it is insanely priced - even for DL!

:goodvibes You can't beat the walk to the park!

Another vote for Park Vue Inn. I've been staying there for the past 7 years and haven't had a bad experience yet. I'm sold on the location! Caligirl stuck in va is right...steer clear of IHOP unless you have a big bag of money to blow!!! Park Vue Inn actually has a decent free breakfast with hot & cold cereal, waffles, muffins, donuts, toast, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, milk apple & orange juice. Not restaurant quality but hey, it's free!

Thanks everyone. I actually booked Park Vue since this afternoon the Best Western sold out.
Oh and I know all about the IHOP. Last Feb we went and the bill was $109. for 4 adults and 1 kid for breakfast!! The food was not even that great. We could have went to MiMi's for half the cost.
Anyway thanks again. :)

We to are considering staying there but I know check in isn't until 3pm BUT our flight somes in a 9am does anybody know if they hold your luggage in a secure area??? Thanks for any help!

You can call when you book or if you book online there is a special request section you can explain about your flight and ask for early check in. Most places will hold your luggage though, especially if you have no vehicle.
