We are thinking of staying at the Park Vue Inn this trip. Does anyone know what their breakfast is like??? :)

They usually have 3 kinds of cold cereal, waffles and toast that you make yourself (there is a toaster to use), fruit, donuts, sometimes bagels, sometimes yogurt, coffee, tea, OJ, apple juice, etc. Our last trip (Dec 09) was the first time we saw omlets. I believe they were frozen omlets (???) that they were heating up in a back room (in a microwave, I believe) and bringing them out. They seemed pretty popular but I didn't try them.

I would not consider their breakfast to be spectular, but its free and definitely enough to hold us over until an early lunch in DL.

Have a great trip....

The omelets must be new. I've been staying there for years and just heard of them recently. They always have apples and bananas but I've also seen fresh sliced fruit at times too. Their breakfast may not be spectacular but compared to some of the other free breakfasts at neighboring hotels, it's really pretty good.

We stayed at Park Vue Inn in November. I would recommend staying their for their location but wouldn't stay for their breakfast. There was no hot food as advertised. The toast, english muffins, cereal, donuts, juices were fine.

We stayed there last week. There was the above mentioned, plus now they have make-it-yourself belgium waffles, those were good. The cheese omelets were ok. They always had everything filled up. Other stuff that wasn't in the others' posts included hard boiled eggs, yogurt, oatmeal. That's about it. The breakfast was served from 7:00-9:30am.

We had a suite. You can read my review here:

Have fun. :)

We stayed at the Park Vue Inn last November.

Like others have posted, the continental breakfast had generic cereals, generic pastries, toast, etc. The coffee was fine, although I thought they cut some corners on the orange juice.

They ask that you don't take food back to your room. The continental breakfast was adequate, but nothing special.

All in all, I liked our stay at the Park Vue Inn, and I would stay there again. Great location -- it's right next to the pedestrian entrance. The beds were fine; the room was very clean; good-sized refrigerator and microwave oven.

This was a last minute trip, so we made our reservation using Expedia.com. Our room rate (2 queen beds) was $108. With tax, we paid approximately $124 each night.
