Planning first trip with kids

We are going Oct 19th-Oct 26th (four adults, 4yr old and 13 month old). Do you think we will need to FastPass+ for Mine Train if we plan to do it first think in AM. We will be there for rope drop. My thought was to do Peter Pan then FP+ Mine Train, but do you think its a waist. I am doing out our itinerary hour by hour ex:

9-10 am
Peter Pan
Mine train (FP+)
Winnie Pooh

Do you think I could try and do Peter Pan then Mine Train with out fast pass? I am not planning to run a race straight to these rides, but let my daughter (4 yrs) take it all in, but still head in that direction. I don't want to totally rush her. I know seeing the castle and walking down Main St for the first time is important in the whole experience. I want to make the most of our trip through planning and FP+ option but I don't want to make my kids/family feel like I'm corralling/rushing them all week. Just to give you an idea of my mind set LOL. In the past (when it was just me and husband or me and dad) we would rush to rides and do as much as possible.

Also this is a day when MNSSHP is happening so I am hoping (fingers crossed) for lighter crowds.

I would absolutely get a FP+ for 7DMT just not that early. Take advantage of shorter stand-by lines at rope drop. Perhaps you could try Under the Sea-Journey of the Little Mermaid, Barnstormer and Dumbo in addition to Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh. Try to get your 7DMT FP+ for the 10:30-11:30am window. You will get more accomplished earlier and use the FP+ for when the crowds start to build. Also, the standby line for 7DMT builds quickly at upwards of 40 minutes at rope drop.

I agree with the previous poster. Get your FP for when it starts to get busier and use the rope drop advantage to do other things.

We were able to get on Peter Pan during Christmas week in about 20 minutes at about half hour past rope drop. You will most likely still be able to get additional FP after your first 3 if you plan them for 11am-2pm or so.

Having just got back, during crowded a time, we were still able to do a lot during the first 2 hours of park opening and then started using FP's, it worked great! I would ride Peter Pan first, then take your time going through the rest of Fantasyland and use FP for Mine Train starting about 2 hrs after park opening.

Thanks so much!
What about enchanted tails with bell. if i"m scheduling that for around 11:30/12 do you think I need to use a FP+ for it?

This is as far as I've gotten...am I asking to much out of myself and family should I not expect to get that many rides done per hr. I figured as the morning turned to afternoon we would get less done. This is a looses plan I know things come up and I dont stress over it, I just dont want to fumble around the day we walk in trying to figure out what do next. Plus my family is really good at following my lead LOL...I'm a lil controlling LOL

For that timing you most likely will want/need the FP+ for Enchanted Tales with Belle. It handles very few people at a time and is fairly time consuming.

I don't think you have too much planned. After Enchanted Tales with Belle I'd check out the line for Small world though instead of the Carousel. The Carousel is hardly ever more than a 5 minute wait but Small World can be a lot longer depending. It may be better around 12 than at 2, or it might not.

My family also just followed my lead, even the kids. I just told them "we will get back to that ride, I promise, but we need to do this now or we won't get to it" and they were so happy to be there they just kept going! :)
