If you are planning to jump to a different park very early, you may have a long wait and have to share a bus.If I am going park to park, is it always fast to take the bus from on to the other? Are there any exceptions? I am looking at a four park day and trying to decide fastest transportation.
I assume you are not staying on site so the Minnie Vans are out....trying to decide fastest transportation.
No, that would probably take longer.Good idea. I am onsite. Specially thinking from AK to HS. Would it be faster to go to AKL and grab the bus to HS?
FYI: Minnie Vans are no longer limited to on-site Guests.I assume you are not staying on site so the Minnie Vans are out.
It depends on which hops you are doing.
AK to/from MK, EP, DHS: bus
MK to/from DHS: bus
MK to/from EP: monorail via TTC
DHS to/from EP: Depends
- If near IG at EP, walking or taking to boat works well
- If near front enterance, then bus
Note
- I have been known to get to Epcot IG entrance via Beach Club from MK, but more exploration purposes than speed
No. Barring a serious traffic incident, it would never be faster to transfer than to take a direct route. If it's really, really early, approach the bus office and request assistance.Good idea. I am onsite. Specially thinking from AK to HS. Would it be faster to go to AKL and grab the bus to HS?
Or speak to a bus cm wearing an orange safety vest in the load zones, especially at MK where getting to the dispatch booth requires crossing thru active bus traffic. They may be at a podium, or just patrolling the load zone area.No. Barring a serious traffic incident, it would never be faster to transfer than to take a direct route. How far is it between HS and Epcot, distance wise? We have a day in September where we have the AP preview at TSL at 8:00 then need to be in Epcot at 11:30 to check in for our F&W lunch. We are staying off site so thought we would Uber to HS then walk to Epcot then Uber that evening back to hotel. This is what I was going to say, except most of the time we do bus from MK to one of the Epcot resorts and go through the IG instead of taking the monorail because I'm just not a fan of the monorail. We always walk from HS to Epcot, it's faster than the boat and we enjoy the walk, yes even if we have have been walking all day and no we are not two young people. I'm 61 and my son is 38 but he has nerve damage to his spine, and we still enjoy the walk and have been known to do it 3 or 4 times a day.
About a mile or so, from IG to HS gate. Takes about 15 min to walk it.How far is it between HS and Epcot, distance wise? FYI - Depends. A lot of the lunch events are at individual restaurants in WS.I think most F&W events are still at the Odyssey, which is not close to the IG. Google Maps shows the walking distance at 1.6-1.7 mi.
If it's at the World Showplace event center between GB & Canada, it's about 1/4 mi. closer.

Sounds like you're referring to the former Wonders of Life pavilion, which is actually between Space & Energy. They had stopped using that location a few years ago, but I have seen reports that they've been working on refurbishing the exterior.Just to clarify, the festival center is over by Test Track next to the old Universe of Energy not the Odyssey building. The booths are 95% set up in World Showcase and some of the countries have special food and wine pairing lunches.
I'm not sure when you thought they stopped but they have certainly been using it for at least 3 years. They've held all the F&W events in that building that we've attended for several years. Things like picking up our credentials when they did the VIP packages, the cooking demos. I know we did our Brunch with Cat Cora in the Wonders building too. Don't know if they are using it this year but they have been using it. The Odyssey is where they've had the beers. They didn't use it for F&G so not sure if they plan to use that one for F&W or not.
