Has anyone bought Park Hoppers through AAA? On their website, they have the 4-day Park Hoppers for ~$199 for adults, and I'm wondering, is that tax included? Otherwise, I'll buy them at the Disney Store, which is ~$192 before tax. But it seems that AAA should have a better deal than the Disney Store...

Can anyone clear this up for me?

I chose to erase this board since I feel I was being misunderstood!!! My board wasn't meant to hurt, harm, or offend anyone and I certainly was not trying to have a "superior attitude." And I also would not want people to feel I would literally laugh (although that is what I said) at them or their money making decisions. And for those that felt offended a formal apology is what I'm offering.

I'm out of here!!!:moped:

Stay Peaceful!!!!:) I hope you ALL have a wonderful disney day!!!

went into my local AAA to pick up the 4 day hoppers...they were $198 total, tax included.

Tax is included in the AAA prices and if you pick them up you don't have to pay the shipping charge so it is a better deal then the Disney store. Plus you get the special parking in the Diamond lot(subject to availablity).

Another happy AAA ticket holder here! I got the 4DPH too for $198 tax included. It was about $6 cheaper a tix than TDS. I used to be CM and felt like such a trader going elsewhere for tix, but hey, I gotta save money now and go where to price is best. Also got the parking pass. Not bad.

It is so funny to me to read all these people THINK they are getting deals when Disney's prices are better than ANYONE!!!!! It is a possibility that disney's taxes are higher. I really don't know. But I will be honest, I did like the fact that I just walked in AAA and walked out with my tickets in hand.

The prices are better at the Disney and AAA for ADVANCE purchase, the places you find funny sell them at a much lower rate than gate prices. You say that Disney's prices are better than anyone, then you state that it is possible that Disney's prices are higher, but, you don't know. Perhaps doing research before finding something so funny would be a good thing.
I purchased a 5 day hopper plus with 4 plusses for 252.00, tax included and shipping was free. I would say in this case that my source was less than Disney and with two extra plusses. Hope you find that amusing.

dmj99,

I really think that you are wrong on this. If you are talking simple PARK HOPPERS, it is difficult to find anyone beating the prices from Disney. But if you are talking PARK HOPPER PLUSES - then a LOT of the time ticket brokers can beat Disney's prices.

As an example:

When we went to Disney this summer, I purchased 7 day hoppers pluses from Paramount International Travel - 5 adult and 1 child. The TOTAL price (tickets, taxes, shipping) was $1759 ($300 for adults and $244 for child, $15 for shipping, taxes INCLUDED). PLUS I received vouchers for free breakfast - 1 for each ticket purchased. We ate at the Cape May Cafe - this saved us over $100 for the 6 of us.

Now, if we would have purchased from Disney - advance ticket price, we would have paid a TOTAL price of $1900.92 (tickets, taxes and shipping.) The prices were $307 - adult, $247 - child PLUS an 6.5% taxes AND $3.00 for standard shipping.

As you can see, we saved $141.52 buying from Paramount - and that is not even including the breakfast!!!

Everyone has the ability to purchase from whomever they care to. Me, I will purchase from the place where I get the most for my dollar.

People have the ability to purchase tickets from whomever they choose to. But for our family, we will purchase from whomever makes our dollar goes the farthest! And I will with a big smile on my face! :teeth:

Gail those are great rates. Any chance you could pm me and let me know where they are from if you don't want to post. I just paid 225 for a 5 day without plusses.
Thanks

BethR,

I did do research and FOR ME a 4 day hopper at disney (with out the plus passage) is $192. It's no shipping if you pick up at will call. Each time I've visited Orlando we stayed at resorts (who gave us free water park passes) or we rented a private home with a private pool, so FOR ME $192 was as cheap as I could find and I DID DO PLENTY OF RESEARCH. If you can find a cheaper 4 day FOR ME I will respectfully apologize.

AGAIN WHAT I FEEL FUNNY IS MY BUSINESS!!!!! I enjoyed coming on this message board because I THOUGHT people were so nice and full of disney magic. I didn't realize if someone gave their opinion that they'd be chastised for it!!!! BETHR, if you know of a better price offer it to the people of this board, so a person like me will not give out misleading or false info. Besides, isn't that what this board is for????????

dmj99,

I think that you must have missed this part of my post. I agreed with you that if you are buying simple park hoppers without the plusses that it is difficult to beat Disney's price. Please reread what I wrote:

THEN I went on to show you and everyone else who reads here that you CAN beat Disney's prices when you are buying Park Hopper Plusses.

As an example:

I think that we are comparing apples to oranges here. You say
It is so funny to me to read all these people THINK they are getting deals when Disney's prices are better than ANYONE!!!!!
Agreed!!! WHEN you are buying park hoppers. But unfortunately, you did not specify that in your initial comment. It was not until your most recent post did you clarify this:
I did do research and FOR ME a 4 day hopper at disney (with out the plus passage) is $192.
I was giving an example of how people CAN get better deals when buying a different kind of ticket. And I did agree with you that your best price for Park Hopper comes from Disney itself.

This IS a message board full of kind, helpful people! People ARE nice here! But sometimes the transition from thoughts to written words to being read by someone else they do not take on the intended meaning. So please do not get too upset over things that you read. Sometimes the meaning that you THINK you are reading is not at ALL the meaning behind what was written. We must have been talking about two different things, that's all. :)

P.S. Not to beat a dead horse, but this is for anyone interested since most people on this board like to quote prices with tax included (and to actually answer the Original Poster's question.) The $192 price for an adult 4 day Park Hopper comes to $204.48 when you add in the tax. So that would be a savings of $5 or so if you buy them from AAA at $199 (who includes taxes in their prices.)

Yes, they are great rates. I purchased them in May via the link found on the Mousesavers.com newsletter. Subscription is free, just go to the site.
I also PM'd you.

This board is for helping people save money, it is for comparing good deals. What it is NOT for is to make fun of people and laugh at them.
You were not chastised at all, you were called on your post which implied people were not as smart as you.

Find anything you want amusing or funny, but, it is rude to make fun of people.

Gail,

You may have the last word!!!! Have a Wonderful Disney Day:D

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!! You and I share the same birthday. The sad part: I am old enough to be your mother. Scary.

Exactly. THIS is why I started this thread, to find helpful info on buying our Park Hoppers (not Plusses) at a cheaper rate. And thanks to a couple of nice people, I've found that buying through AAA, and going to pick them up myself, I'll save $10 on tickets for me and my husband. $10 is $10, and I could certainly spend it elsewhere. :)

Well, as you can see, I *am* getting a better price than Disney can offer me. So, ha-ha-ha.

Really, the superior attitude doesn't have a place here.

I am really happy you found what you needed and saved some money too. :) And, you are correct, 10.00 is 10.00 and better in your pocket than somewhere else.
Happy planning. :) and..... Happy Thanksgiving.
